Looks interesting but I think many of the drugs we try prolong the refractory period so I'm not getting my hopes up I'm pretty sure there is a significant amount of people with AF popping Vit C pills already but I've not heard of any miracles cures with it. Guest guest
Hi all there was news paper report in the UK all last week re Vit C. It would seem that doses over 1 mg per day (not sure of the exact dose). Effects the DNA structure and has been proven to cause the BIG C. Well, not exactly. Someone saw a reaction in a petrie(sp?) dish and speculated that it might have some affect on DNA in humans. I have enough trouble keeping track of the monthly reversals in actual test results in humans for various things without worrying about petrie dishes and speculation. I note also that the doc was quoted as saying supplements are unnecessary and that we get all the nutrients needed from food.

Guest guest
Fred, Thanks for caring. Actually, the Antiphospholipid Syndrome, anticardiolipin antibody, and Lupus anticoagulant has always been positive until last December when they tested negative. The tests at Jewish were all positive. It would be suicide to try transplant. I have already had a stroke (with seizure disorder as a result) and blood clots in my legs. They also found that my ribs had been broken...which I knew (ouch) That means osteoporosis (steroids) and no doc wants to saw through powerdery bones! There are many complications because of life long connective tissue including Lupus. Even though take complicated cases, I was off the scale. The coronary artery disease that they found there is another important reason why they said no. I am glad that I went. The stent probably saved my life. My docs here now can confer with the best docs in the land. They got so much valuable information and hopefully will be able to extend my life a little longer. I am not going to lie down and die. They are going to find my cold dead body at the Mall. I push, push, push myself. It has worked for nine years. God gave me THIS day and I am going to use it. I refuse to sit down and quit. Sometimes I am sick and I do sit down....even lay down....but I will not quit!!!! You are not the only stubborn member of our group!!! Guest guest
... I'll put it this way, we need all the blessings we can get! So, with mucho gratitude and humbleness, we accept ... thank all of you! Keep us posted on whut's whut. 5/3rd Bank is pretty good here and, I have people I can see there to do things. As for my prognosis, I am relieved that it IS good but, now am going to go nuts trying to tie it in to asbestos/CS (tear) gas/sub-zero exposures. As it is, I do appear to be getting better day by day, as per heart. I even have had a coke once in awhile. so far, I've lost 21 lbs. My goal is to get to 200 (thank God, there's a Steve & Barry's here so I can get new khakis/jeans/shorts at $5.95!!!). You have done well ... how is your husband now? MY saving grace from all this is that I DON'T smoke (tried cigarettes once for a play ... ONCE; dabbled in cigars (out in the field as an infantryman, they DO keep the bugs away ... problem was the El Ropos I used were B-A-D and, tried a pipe but, too much fiddling, too much bother for the paraphenalia, too much money so, I never started). My wife has been a blessing, she's overseen the menu and, I've dropped weight like a stone (more like 2 stone, if you understand the Brit measurement) which has helped the diabetes. SIX kids! Wow! We had Lani late but, what a good kid ... she just finished up her first day in Bible School as a preschool asst to the teacher tonight. Tell us what's next and, will comply.
