Guest guest
Our oldest grandson (TJ, 4 1/2) broke out in chicken pox Friday. I'm sure his triplet siblings (22 mo.) will be next. My question is this- -assuming that my immunity to the disease has disappeared with age (I had them when I was 12) should I avoid being around them while they have open sores? I know that Dercum's is autoimmune, even though fibro is not, and I had a course of chemo last summer, so I'm guessing my immune system would not be able to fight this off? Also, I've had a sinus infection the past 10 days which is thankfully getting a little better, so that has probably weakened my system more. I want to help my daughter if/when the triplets get sick, but not sure if I am opening myself to the possibilitly of shingles or what. Help? Guest guest
I went to see my doctors today who told me everything was normal. But having medical issues for a whole year now, I learned how to read reports. There was a false negative in my blood result. What I have is pre-diabetes (my father had diabetes before he passed away). It was a bad news given that I had blood test on Sep 17 and my glucose was fine then. I saw somewhere that those having one type of autoimmune disease tends to develop another. I am a good example. My thyroid test score is as follows: Date: 12/22/09 (Quest diagnostics) TSH, 3rd generation 2.55 T4, free 1.0 T3, total 93 Regards, Ruby > > > > > > Some people with Hashimoto's [the autoimmune disease that attacks your > > > thyroid gland] have reported pain but I doubt it's from the Hashimoto's > > > but I guess it might be.
