Guest guest
I was in that boat and wound up at a gas station that had no employeee working, how weird, it was all by computer and credit card. Thank goodness my hsuband was nearby, following me in his car. one time I had something in my shopping cart, I managed to get it from the shelf into my crt cuz it was up at a level I could sort of pull it to my cart, but at checkout I could not get it from my cart to the checkout conveyer belt? UG, I asked the checker for help- he said no, I was dumbshocked. I left everything there and went to customer service. They helped me. another time I went to a meeting, I had a bottle of water with me, unopened. How embarrassing, I got to the meeting and could not open the darn water. I was too embarrassed to ask someone there to open it for me. More and more I am taking one of my kids with me when I leave the house, just in case, LOL. Some of the weirdest little things can catch me off guard that I might need help with. - In , " Vikki Wingfield " <VWAvon@c...> wrote: > I have had several occasions where I couldn't remove the gas cap on my car. Guest guest
Opening water or soda bottles always cause me problems. I can very rarely do it myself. I've gotten into the habit of simply handing it to my husband to do for me. On one occasion when he wasn 't there with me, I had to ask the person at the drive-thru where I purchased it to open it for me! He looked at me very strangely, but he did it! As for the gas caps, I realize that they have to be tight, but there should really be a better way for folks like us to get them off! If any of you have some tips, or know of any assistive device I could use, your help would be greatly appreciated! Guest guest
I totally agree with you. My husband and I recently went out for a steak dinner with my mom and dad. My hands were really bad that day, so there was no way I could cut the steak. I had to ask my husband to do it for me. As he was cutting up my food, I saw the stricken looks on my mom and dad's faces. So I did the only thing I could do - I asked my husband if he would like to feed me too! My lame attempt at a joke was enough to lighten the mood and get things back to normal. When things get bad, you might as well laugh...
