Peggy,

I don't have a camera that will load to the computer. The other pictures I posted were fwd from what my daughter sent.

Anyway, I just measured my tank, across the bottom, and the height, and it fits very easily in the small bag, with room left over.

The measurements are on the description of each bag so you can judge. My tank is approx. 4.5x10.5. Hope this helps. Sher

Ok now I'm really confused. I thought you were using B tanks too lol

mine measure 3 1/2 " by 16 1/2 " so my bag is 19 " ..What tank are you using??

smaller means lighter.. ;)

I use the "home-fill system" I think my tank is a little bit lighter because of my arthritis...one of the reasons I chose this one. I don't know what a "B" tank is. Remember, I'm new to all this.

I can see your tank is much higher than mine so the small bag doesn't work, does it? Sher ipf 5-06

No, the small BOA wouldn't work. I'm thinking I will order another one..

is going to shoot me.. I have so many purses. I think I'll let my

grands go shopping in my bags.. I think there are a few they will carry. A

couple of them like " vintage " clothes and bags..I laugh at them. I feel

pretty vintage today..LOL How are you doing? I am so proud of you going

out with your pretty new bag and your hose.. I don't even look for " The

Looks " anymore.. LOL I just figure I am so cute they need a second look..

LOL LOL

Peggy, I'm actually doing pretty good. The cpap machine has helped my breathing even during the day.

I sleep all night with it now (except for potty-calls) and feel better with it on nose! Who'da thunk??

I think I will get the green bag....

Joyce, I think you just invented a new occupation for manicurists. We could get them airbrushed like they do fake fingernails. The shop could be called "creative cannulas" I am sure it would be a big hit! Joyce wrote: Girls, O.K., now we are onto the pretty bright bags...what can we do to liven up our tubing and cannulas?? It's nice to hear that your friend is doing well after transplant. I

was happy to see that she worked right up until the call came. I've

been worried that I wouldn't be able to do that. I'm realistic

enough to know that it's entirely possible that I may NOT be able to

continue to work at some point. I have a desk job, so I think I can

sit on my butt for a LONG time. :) :) I have my 3 month follow up

visit in a week. I'm anxious to find out if there has been any

change in my lung function. It's hard to tell. Some days I seem

more short of breath than others, but overall I feel good. I'm very

happy for your friend. Hope all goes well so she can go back to work.

, What good news. It makes me a little less worried. I keep picturing myself as an invalid after the transplant, struggling not to reject ny new lungs! I never even imagined being able to go back to work. Does anyone lnow how long people usually live after transplants? Or who is the longest living lung transplant survivor? jaime wrote: she is doing awesome! she just took her first weekend get away since the transplant.

I too have had my doubts about a transplant. The statistics arent very

encouraging.60 percent survive for 4 years. But you do hear about the

successful cases like the one you mentioned.I am stable right now and I am

not going to say yes to a transplant right now.I cant see myself taking 30

or more pills every day to prevent rejection of the transplant.and dont know

how I would afford all the medications.I may be crazy but its my decision

not to have the transplant. However I dont want to discourage anyone who

wants the second chance at life that a transplant gives. Its just not for me

right now.

Mark, Thanks for the input. Until this week that is exactly how I've felt. I told the transplant team at UCSD that I would keep an open mind until they talk to me but it is such a scary decision and the odds don't seem to great. I am not stable yet but I don't feel too terribly bad either and my life is fairly normal. If I could stay like I am it would not be a bad life. Hopefully when the time comes to make the decision I'll feel a peace about it. Mark,

I was told when I was evaluated that if you have Medicare part B, that it will pay for 80% of after transplant drugs.

I was rejected because of other medical conditions and in a big way I was relieved because I would not have to make the decision. I so admire those people who have the courage to take a chance on life. I learned many success stories while I was at the hospital.

Hi Mark, I will be making that decision by the end of the year. I have not

been for it until I spoke with two fellows who have had the Tx. They are

hose free and doing regular things in life..One said he only is on 9 pills..

I can do that. I would give anything to be able to go, shop, clean..All the

GOOD stuff. If I am blessed with four years..that beats what this monster

offers. My numbers are not great so I just don't know if they will stay high

enough to keep me comfortable. Not that I'm not now just toooo restricted. I

wanna GOOO ! God will help me with the final decision. 25 pounds to go..

How old are you? Are you close to needing a Tx? Nosey huh. LOL God Bless...

Mark, I have been walking on a treadmill and it seems to be helping. I am

also eating veggies like crazy. Cut the sugar (except for my coffee)

I just broke 200...198 1/2 I'm so proud.

I found out today that this finger oximeter is about 5 points off so

everyone needs to check them out with your Dr's office. 5 points can be

dangerous. The one I have is a Check Mate, Orange and gray. I have been a

lot lower that I thought.

Wow Peggy! Good for you! It must feel great that the exercise and diet is working. Pretty soon you'll have a BB ( beautiful body) to go with your BOA. Leanne, How about another poll? It would be interesting to know how many of us are hoping for a transplant and how many of us personally have met a successful transplant survivor. Also does anyone know of a lung transplant chat group? Thanks-Peggy wrote: Hi Mark, I will be making that decision by the end of the year.
