Guest guest
Well, we got our new prefilled Avonex injections about 6 weeks ago, and tonight, she gets shot # 6. She has also mentioned that the aftereffects from the shot are more intense. It is my understanding that it is still the same medication but concentrated into half the liquid we were using before. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Maybe the body has to adjust to the 'new' substance......???? I will be calling Biogen on Monday to inquire. cheers, BobbyJim in Elvisland From: Lpcnc@... What are others saying about problems? Isn't it the same medicine, just pre-mixed? ------------------- How many of you in this group, are on Avonex and are using the prefilled?? In addition to that how many of you are getting worse the more you take it now?? I have a board I am on and I am see a lot of people taking themselves off of it because of this...I am curious as to how many are doing the same!!! Guest guest
I got the new Avonex recently and have now taken two of the new shots (on Friday nights.) To my surprise, I have not had any problems at all. When I first starting Avonex (it as introduced within a year of my diagnosis,) I had horrible side effects. The happy part is that the horrible effects eventually got better, so if you are new, please don't let it scare you. I was so worried based on what I've heard, but am very relieved. I hope the rest of you have similar results (with the new formula!) > Well, we got our new prefilled Avonex injections about 6 weeks ago, > and tonight, she gets shot # 6.
