Guest guest
Hey hon. Yes I did go through the same thing, but I attributed it to being in my Mid 40's. My hematocrit and hemoglobin were so low they were threatening hospitalization. I thought my blood count went up just because they d'ced the MTX but now that I put two and two together.... I think you are on to something. How is your leg doing, sweetie? You've sure been in my thoughts with this yucky old weather. Guest guest
Hi Jane,....I'm also in my 40's, so thinking also it could be menopause coming on:( That is kind of strange, that your blood count went up after you went off the MTX. Is it alright now? I'm going to talk to my rhemy when I go in, next Monday. My leg is still hurting, and feeling really bad. I am not sure if it's RA related, or not. I blame all my aches and pains on RA, so we'll just have to see. Yes, this weather is cold here, but lucky compared to other states. What a terrible tragedy with that avalanche. How have you been feeling? Your always here for all of us, Tawny > > > > Hi everyone,....I would like to find out if anyone is having > problems > > with their period, while on MTX. Guest guest
Tawny, I can relate! We feel so crummy so much of the time it's hard to tell it when we get sick! I'm taking Hemocyte now for the anemia and have been running low normal H & H which is great for me. I am so glad you're going to the rheumy, I hope they can do something to help your poor leg. There have been so many tragic natural disasters here lately. You know chas is going to Japan in the middle of their funkiest weather season, we've been watching for earthquakes and volcanoes on the news. I don't know how Tokyo is situated. I know that she is in God's hands so I try not to worry, but that's my heart we're talking about. Wishing you enough time for a nice soak in a hot tub with your candles lit, some nice music, maybe a good book, yes? Praying for some papin free days for all of us, my sweet friend. Guest guest
Jane......There have been so many disasters, there are so many people that is left homeless, or worse. I know how you feel about sending your child so way. It's scary when they go out in the world, and you can't be there to make sure their alright. We just have to keep our faith, and know that she will be taken care of. Your going to worry, no matter what, that's your baby. Oh, how I wish that I could get in the tub and soak right now. I manage a shower right now. I can't get down very easy, and if I did, I couldn't get out,lol Maybe, after we figure out what's going on with my old leg, then I can think about that soak. Thanks for the prayers, and kind words,Tawny > > > > > > > > Hi everyone,....I would like to find out if anyone is having > > > problems > > > > with their period, while on MTX. Guest guest
Tawny, I'm no lady, but I remember one member who said that, after she began MTX, her periods resumed even though she had already been through menopause. Her gums also began bleeding. I'll tell you where to go! Mayo Clinic in Rochester http://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester s Hopkins Medicine http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org [ ] MTX, question for the ladies > > > Hi everyone,....I would like to find out if anyone is having problems > with their period, while on MTX.
