Gosh, I wish I knew what triggered a flare up. I generally wake up

with symptoms. They will last the whole day, but they may be gone

tomorrow - or not. If they are not gone tomorrow and I have them for

a few weeks, that's considered a flare-up for me. Luckily, I have had

lots of symptoms this past year, but not flare-ups.

I did get a flu shot last year and that was followed by a signigicant

flare up that lasted for 2 mos. I had to do two doses of Solumedrol

to get my vision back. What I deal with mostly right now is neck and

upper back pain believed to be caused by spinal lesions.

I wish I knew what triggered flare-ups. Then I could do something to

ward them off.

Jackie I have been lucky this year with no flare ups at all. I seem to get them at least once or twice a year it seems. I call them pop up trouble. I use a walker to get around since I have no balance and also bladder trouble. I always feel when I get the flare ups when I can once again just have to use my walker and just have the bladder trouble I am back to normal again.

I have learned that when the pop up trouble happen to give them several weeks to work it's self out of my system. I have had several times when something came up and made that quick trip to the neurologist only to have that trouble be mostly gone by the time I see the doc.

I have found Advil really helps out with several of my troubles. Advil always takes care of my spasms in my legs and when I get a fever I lose being able to use my legs at all, just lowering my fever make my legs usable again. I could probably do a nice TV add for Advil.
