surprise surprise..

he cured his wife of cancer with secret ingredients that you can only learn

about by buying his books..

CAREFUL out there..

there are tons of folks living off the misfortune and (HOPE for a cure) of

others..

on the other hand: someone go to AU and look at this lady..read her medical

history at the REAL hospital, talk to her doctor there..

if it turns out that he REALLY did CURE bile duct cancer then ask him WHY he

won't help all mankind by GIVING his secret formula/regime to us, for free!!

(or ask for a donation from all the folks that are also cured with HIS MAGIC!)

Actually Denver, I just now received a private email from this man about

this subject, he in NO way asked me to buy anything, etc...he mostly talked

to me about the effects of foods etc and some of his ideas, I didn't say he

was God, I simply am open to listen to ideas, he didn't say he cured her, he

said they made the choice not to go the conventional route and 'for them' it

worked........I for one do not enjoy sarcasm especially if it is directed at

me......he is more than willing to tell me anything without me buying

anything...

but again, we are all entitiled to our own opinions.

Hey! Normally I would just read and then ignore or try to ignore when

someone gets blasted because I don't like confrontation! It reeks havoc

with my guts. But come on, each of us has the right to present information

to the group without feeling like we are going to get lambasted.

From all the posts I have read, there are people within the group that are

very interested in herbal/alternative treatments, and may want this type of

information passed on. Like someone said before, we are new, old,

traditional medicine, alternative medicine, early stages of PSC, late stages

of PSC, transplanted, still waiting for transplant, hoping never to be

transplanted......we are a melting pot of ideas, opinions, symptoms, etc.

The key to success on this site is respect.

Actually Denver, I just now received a private email from this man about

this subject, he in NO way asked me to buy anything, etc...he mostly talked

to me about the effects of foods etc and some of his ideas, I didn't say he

>directed at me

it was not my intention to direct sarcasm at you (I addressed the group)..

or anyone else (I intended no sarcasm--only a factual warning)..

sorry if I offended you..

I have psoriasis (another " no cure " thingy), and know from experience

that there are TONS of folks getting rich off of selling their magic-secret..

it WAS my intention to bring that up here..

write the nice man who sent you a private mail.. and ask him the details of

how he cured his wifes cancer..

see what he says..

(I'm GUESSING he will say something like " Well, the cure is complicated,

detailed and LONG--the easiest thing for YOU is if you get the book, I could

send you one . . . I wanted to do it free but printing is SO EXPENSIVE I just

couldn't do it . . . I can send you one--printing, postage and handling is

ONLY $XX.xx. " Or maybe the guy at the 800 number does all the selling--give

him a call and see.)

my point is: don't buy from folks who are only selling 'hope'..

I'm not going to get into a another pointless argument over this...Mr.

did NOT ask me to buy anything, he did NOT solicit me, I asked HIM for

advice, he did NOT claim to cure cancer, he and his wife chose NOT to go

with conventional medicine and the approach they tried worked for

THEM.......now, let's just say he did write a book and was selling it? Is

that such a unique idea? How else do people get their ideas across....Dr.

Palmer wrote a book, is she selling snake oil? Various people who

claim to have new diets, what do they do? Write books, are they selling

snake oil?

If I had something happen to me, that I felt could help other people, I too

would write a book, how else would I get my message across? He is writing

of HIS experience, the great thing is, YOU don't have to buy his book if you

don't want to....and since he never asked me to buy anything in our several

emails to each other, I really wouldn't know how to go about buying it

either even if I wanted to.

I am happy for him and his wife that the approach they took worked for them,

I don't wish them any harm for it. I see walking miracles everyday here at

the hospital, I choose to see the good in what has happened as opposed to

the cynisism.

I just the other night saw a show about a woman who has beat scleraderma, an

incurable disease, she did it through herbs, change of diet, meditation

etc....is she selling snake oil? Or is it that we are threatened by the

unknown, threatened by something that isn't in the 'medical journals' and

documented as being real. Are we that narrow minded that we refuse to

believe that there are other things than chemotherapy, radiation and the

multi-billion dollar industry that cancer has evolved into? Don't ever kid

yourself, there is profit in all illnesses, sad but true and no disease is a

lucrative as cancer. I am an intelligent person, I watched my father die

from cancer, I asked my own Government for help and got nothing, I

researched alternatives and searched out the 'snake oil'....I never kidded

myself for one minute on what was crap and what wasn't, but it's like this,

when the chips are down and conventinal medicine hands you nothing....I'll

take the snake oil, because even if what Mr. is selling hope, that's

better than nothing at all.

End of discussion,

Patti

I don't quite get the joke here...but I would like to ask that you not

contact this man with any negative remarks, since it is me he wrote to with

information, I have to respect that and now I feel as though I should NOT

have forwarded his message...I should have respected that those emails were

from him to me, I did not mean to drag him into this group and I will email

him personally and apologize. I will not forward anything else he may send

me simply because of this foolishness.
