According to a new Gallup poll released this week, nurses remain the most trusted profession in America, closely followed by pharmacists and doctors. About 84 percent of respondents reported having " very high " or " high " trust in nurses, about 73 percent said the same about pharmacists, and 70 percent about doctors. Only 1 percent of respondents said they had low trust in nurses, 4 percent in pharmacists, and 6 percent in doctors. Read more

That's nice to know. There is so much stuff in the press about malpractice and

medical fraud and abuse that I sometimes worry that the general public thinks we

are all rich and mostly out to get richer.---Sharlene

I think it’s interesting the general public trusts nurses more

than doctors. I agree, I thought it would be higher for docs, and don’t know

why its not higher for pharmacists either.

Gave a talk last week at City Club & asked how many in the audience

felt doctors were rich & greedy. Only 2 out of 100 raised their hands.

I used a few stand-up comedy techniques when discussing medicare.

wild being in control when 100 people would laugh.
