Guest guest Posted January 10, 2005 Report Share Posted January 10, 2005 Dear , Thank you for asking. I am on my 3rd week of Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment. It is pretty strange to be placed in a tube and the compressed. I am now able to relax and go to sleep after compression. Their are speakers and TV's to watch, but sleeping seems to make the time go by quicker. I am not claustrophobic, but my husband cannot even look into the room without getting sick? This weekend I was able to eat real food and have been working up to it, boy did it taste good! I am back on my meds including the prednisone. I started to get some severe nerve " firings " and numbness in my right thigh- almost from my knee to hip - but only one one side - usually my RA is on both sides. My Rheumy, Neurologist both said to go back on the pred. BUT I have no more holes or sores on the raw place on my tongue and although it is down to 3/4 " oval - it is so much better. I am still religiously using Biotene toothe paste and mouth wash and gum, etc. and going to treatment to make it better. it works! and hurts a lot less.
