I don't know about the other guy but when I was 17 I had a blood glucose of 1264

and my blood had turned to acid. my back hurt and I was in the ICU of the

hospital for a week getting it back down.

My lowest- was when I was in a small coma and it was reported as-06.

I'm doing much better now.

I had passed out in my office, and when the emts got to me, and finally did

a bg test (apparently not the first thing they did) , I was 14. I have had

readings of 21 and other 20s over the years, and have functioned pretty well

and quite often not with significant symptoms. There must be a line in

there somewhere that the body finally says, " okay, I'm gonna shut you down

so I can go find me some sugar in some of those delicious looking organs you

have sitting around! "

Now Dave is a man who needs to carry glucose tablets at all times, but what

good would they do, if he doesn't recognize any signs of low glucose levels.

There are several symptoms of low glucose level. Do you recognize any of

them. Maybe others can help out here, but here are some of the symptoms of

low glucose that I have experienced. Feeling tired and give out with the

shakes happening at the same time. I have also felt generally dizzy and a

little sick at the stomach as well as breaking out in sweats.

Of course I have experienced the low glucose levels many times, and I can

generally tell when I am getting low glucose, but I was on oral medications

at the time I had these symptoms. Since being on the insulin of two kinds,

I have experienced the shakes and generally feeling a little sick on about

three ocasions.
