Rae, sorry that your having problems with the MTX. I will keep you

in my prayers, feel better soon, Tawny

> well, i heard from my doctor and my liver enzymes are

elevated,again... he said that he would recommend that i never take

mtrx again... he is referring me to a rheumy in vallejo, kaiser...

because he being an internist can not write a RX for enberel... only

a rhuemy can.... he said it will not take long before they contact

me... i told my doctor that i felt that the mtrx was really starting

to work, i was considering walking and going to the gym... and now...

off of it, again... tried it 2 times and elevated liver enzymes both

times...

> i am going to ask the new doc if i can take plaquinel and enberel,

that should cover both the sjogrens and the RA! ha ha ha

> i still have a belly ache... wonder how long it will last? ugh...

inflames liver sure does hurt and i feel so tired... sure not feeling

up to exercising... ha ha ha

Hi Rae,....My liver enzymes did rise while taking MTX before. I

didn't get the inflamed liver though, I'm sorry your going through so

much pain. When is your rheumy appointment? Please, let us know how

the ultrasound goes, I'm worried about you.

You take care of yourself, and I will keep you in my prayers, T

thanks, marina... i sure hope i can get another medication that works.. my

doctor has made an appointment for me to get an ultra sound of my liver... maybe

things will be good in liover land for me, too... ha ha ha

do you have sjogrens, also??? they say plaquinel if good for that... has anyone

lse had good luck with that???

later, rae

[ ] Re: mtrx

Rae, I can understand where you are coming from. My liver enzymes

are elevated as well. I know the MTX is helping and I wouldn't want

to stop it either. You're right about the pain. I can tell when my

liver is a bit more inflammed that usual. My enzymes have been

stable, even though they are high. So what my rheumy had me do was

to get a liver biopsy to make sure all was well in liver land!!

Enzymes alone do not an inflammed liver make!! A rheumy is a good

idea, though. My rheumy has me on both Enbrel and Plaquenal.

Hopefully you will hear from them soon so you can get to feeling

better. That's great that you feel well enough to go out walking

and going to the gym!! Good for you!! I brought the gym to me.

When I am not flaring (mostly because I over do it at work), I use

the " Total Gym " to stretch and stregthen my little 'ole bod!!I love

it and it has helped. I hope things work out for you....Marina/Ohio
