I don't know a whole lot about him other then he had Lyme and recovered from it.

I know that he is listed as one of the more well known Lyme Docs. It might be

worth a try with him. I think if I was looking for a good Lyme Doc, I would go

to Cowden. He does the Laser detox protocol that I think is very helpful for

those of us who have detox issues.

Thanks Janette for understanding my feelings. I know that he is getting very

busy and he needs to reassess how much he can do in my view. I was so looking

forward to hearing him speak on Cheryl's Lyme Hope teleseminar, Dr Cowden, Dr

Zhang, Dr Grindstaff have all been featured on her show. I was not surprised

that Dr. Klinghardt cancelled due to his busy lifestyle. I just think he needs

to realize that when he over extends himself, that there are implications that

affect others.

It is time we stopped making Gods out of doctors. People, realize that WE have

the tools to heal ourselves from Lyme! Educate yourself on all treatments. Then

choose one and go for it. Have confidence in yourself. We can actually make

better choices than many doctors who are supposedly so credentialed. Educate

yourself!! No doctor will ever care as much for your health and well being as

you and your loved ones do!! I have experienced the behavior described

from several doctors over the years. In this country medicine has become all

about money with doctors not even necessarily giving us anything at all of value

in return for the big bucks we pay them!! That's why WHO rated American

medicine so low - there are 30-something to 40-something countries who were

rated higher in medical care than the U.S. However, we are still rated #1 in

cost. That speaks volumes!!

Learn from it!!

Dr DP that susie mentions has trained with Klinghardt and also uses the laser detox. He is based out of West Palm Beach.Fl but will travel to different parts of the country to see patients if you arrange a day full of patients to see him from your area.I saw him while in Vermont and then he came to Pensacolam Florida once a month .Now I live closer to his main office and will see him there.he is inexpensive compared to other drs . he only uses herbal protocols . His initial exam visit is only 300.he uses ART and laser detox so he has picked up things from both Klinghardt and others.he is an extremely compassionate man.janRe: Dr. Klinghardt (my experience) Posted by: "S & D Darrah" darrahs@... lymesoda Date: Tue Jun 7, 2011 4:02 am

What's the difference between God and a doctor? God doesn't think he's a

doctor...lol

I consider Nature's innate tendancy to heal as Holy. The truly great doctors acknowledge that Nature is the true healer. Often, while fighting Lyme, I've thought of the middle ages, when priests were the required intermediaries between ordinary folk and the Deity. So today, have doctors become the priests of healing. To the credit of both groups, many have served with the very best of intentions, but failed to acknowledge what is accessible within each one of us and within caring, knowledgeable communities. We Lymies seem to be leading a reformation or revolution, and I hope that as we recover, we can inspire others to embrace what Nature gave us all.Be well,LénaA wholehearted DITTO!!What's the difference between God and a doctor? I'm sorry about your friend who died. Regarding Dr. Klinghardt, he may be good

in some ways, but he ain't perfect. I know of someone who saved up her money,

went to see him, and he gave her some good insights, but he completely missed

the fact she had parasites.

I used to travel all around to places far away, to people and medical

institutions who had great reputations, doctors and places of great promise such

as Mayo Clinic, but then I realized, each time, that it turned out to be just

great hype, great promo on their part, and that the money that I wasted traveling

(with essentially nothing to show for it) could have been better spent on

treatment locally. Therefore, I no longer travel to any far away hot-shot

" experts " which allows me more money to spend on defeating my disease. There

was never a time when I spent money traveling to them that it was worth it. They

were always horribly disappointing and never lived up to the hype, the promo put

out about them.

If I ever were to travel again to consult with an acclaimed " medical expert " it

would be abroad, to a country where the quality of medical care is higher than

it is here.

It is so sad that someone died under Dr. K's care.  I think, no matter how talented the doc, that we each need to make decisions regarding our own health as much as possible.  I know that that isn't always easy or practical and I'm not trying to be trite or any thing of the sort.

It's just a reminder, that doctors aren't gods, they don't know it all, and most are totally overwhelmed these days. Read your body and go with your gut instincts.just my two cents,

I'm not sure how difficult is it to find a chranio/Sac massage therapist.  I asked my MT if she was trained in it and she said, 'yes'. She also takes insurance, and if my family doc prescribes it then it is covered.  I've only been doing reg massage, and had cranio one time. I may try more.

Just another option.

Yes, indeed I did. I did not get their cards. They were a female couple, both NDs. If you contact at Biopureus.com -- she was the one who specifically pointed them out to me as they were looking for a CranioSacral therapist to work in their clinic. I did not want to move to Boulder, so did not introduce myself and there was so little time there anyways to mingle. If can't remember their names, contact Dr. DK's manager (Debbie Floyd) ... but she has a ph# and email contact info for her on www.klinghardtacademy.org website

BTW I have not done the PCS because most of my issues did not get that deeply out of synch and I remained fairly well functioning (thank God) except a couple of areas ... but without truly crazy vigorous treatments for a few years, that would have been a very different story. Blessings.

Hi Janette,

did you meet any LLMDs from Colorado (Bouler area)?

Thanks,

Anne

Oh, Susie, I so understand what you are saying. We've only been at this for 3 1/2 years, and only diagnosed with Lyme last August, but I am exausted, so I can only imagine what it's like when you are searching, searching for that needle in the haystack 24/7 for so many years.

I understand that grief. Some days, I just take lots of naps, when sleep is the only respite I have from the sadness. But one thing is for sure...we can't give up! We have to take every opportunity to be in a better frame of mind that we can find. Do what makes you feel better, if you can think of anything that might. And we have to keep searching, for that combination of things that will be the key to recovery, and for a doctor that might be worth keeping.

What kind of a rife machine do you use?

My sincere prayer is that you might soon turn the corner to recovery.

Lena,You might want to go into the yahoo/groups and erase this post. You did NOT send it privately and now your phone number is available for everyone in the world to see. Please be careful :-)

Hi dear Susie,So typically Lena-lyme-brain! I invite you to call and then space out and don't give you my #.

Sent you a bunch of Reiki this morning after the darn phoebe outside the bedroom window woke me at 5:00. Too warm and itchy to go back to sleep.Hugs,Léna

yes, i know what you are all saying, and i've seen plenty of practitioners and wasted money and years and been disgusted with plenty of them and have been on my own pretty much since 2006, just seeing doctors for thyroid and trying to get them to do certain tests i want to have done.  but i am not getting better.  those of you who know me know that it is not for lack of sincerity and perseverance and trying and experimenting and researching.  i've had a rife machine since 2004, i eat beautiful food, i won't go into the list of detoxing and things i've done, or wht i am doing now.  i used to get acupunture, do lots of body/mind/spirit work, but i am too sick to leave the house for anything not  utterly essential.  i'm not looking for god, just looking for someone who might be able to find what i've not understood, or simply help me get the tests i'd like to have.  and so exhausted by effort it takes here to get doctors to do just the basics.

i am deeply sad that i am not getting well.  xoxo susie

Hi susie,

I'm deeply sad that you are not getting well also.

I understand what it is like to want the doctor that will fix you. Its

exhausting being the patient and the practitioner at the same time.

Im thinking of you and hoping you get better.

dana thank you, i deeply hope you will get some good help. xoxoxsusie Susie, I hear you...I am not looking for a god at all I already have a God. I am looking for collaboration and sometimes that can be expensive. While I can still walk/talk/function I feel I need to try to gain as much knowledge and have the necessary testing done while I can. If I put it off, I will end up not being able to pursue any of those things. Living in Texas, I am having a hard time finding any help, although I am going to see a Dr. S in Houston who may at least test me for heavy metals, do some glut ivs and maybe give me some education on my immunity. Susie,

Know what you mean about doctors, I feel like while I am still healthy enough to travel and seek information and collaboration I need to do it. There is not much in texas to help me so leaving is my only option.

I have already been to several doctors and have very little hope that any of them will have the 'holy grail', but maybe they will have some knowledge that will help fill in the puzzle pieces, always keeping hope alive

while I am alive and functioning. I am presenting ALS symptoms so I know if this progresses to bed I will go and not much will be done.....dana
