Guest guest
Hi all, here's a little update on my husband, since he's the reason why I joined this list...;-) We got a call from the rheumatologist's nurse on Friday with the results of the blood test and x-rays. He tested negative for Lyme's disease. He has DDD and it's quite severe for his age (44). Spur formation on L-5, but she said that wasn't rally bad. She did say that he is in the beginning stages of ankylosing spondylitis. From what I understand, all he can do is to exercise as much as he can handle, keep those bones moving. I wish there was something I could do for him, but he's such a stubborn man. I would be willing to totally change the way we eat for him, but he's like a little child that doesn't want to eat its veggies...:-( I'm afraid to do research on the ankylosing spondylitis, don't know if I'm ready to know exactly what it is.
