Guest guest Posted July 19, 1999 Report Share Posted July 19, 1999 I know how the tragic loss of the helicopter crew this past weekend, touches the hearts of all EMS providers across this great nation of ours. The City of Beaumont sends its sympathy and condolences to all of the Herman Crews, the families of the victims and friends and relatives of those involved. As a former crew member of 2 helicopter services, I also know what these tragic stories do to the flight crews all over the US and their families also. It was always so tough coming home and having the wife stand there with another newspaper story in her hand, of some loss we had suffered and I had tried to hide from her. We always lost a little of ourselves every time a bird went down. To those who still remain true to the service, we will always admire the job you do. To those who decide to leave, we understand. But to all of you that fly, our prayers are constantly with you.
