Guest guest
Hi, All. I'm new to this group and am hoping it can help me through some of my frustrations with RA. I played soccer for 18 years before getting RA. The doctor said to stay off the field and I did for 4 years, but now I miss it so much and it was the only thing I was had confidence in that I was good at. I have a lot of my ego wrapped around the sport. I've been trying to align myself with some other talent, but so far am coming up empty. Nothing else has provided the same satisfaction. While I know I'll never be in the competitive leagues again, I'm still trying to play soccer once in awhile, bicycle, and lift weights. After each of these activities I usually have at least a couple days of recovery time before I can do anything that ambitious again. I'm desperate to stay strong and agile, but it's getting harder and harder. Is there anyone out there who has successfully been able to keep up athletics while managing RA? Do you have any tips? Thanks
