I had to cut back on my fostering due to my pain problems, but I still foster a little and do a ton of work in other ways. You can see our site at: www.raleighrodentrescue.org Many of my animals are tiny, so even on my worst days there's somebody I'm strong enough to pick up and hug. I have a German Shorthaired Pointer who is around 80 pounds, a Newfoundland (rescue) that is 156 pounds, a Landseer Newfoundland (new puppy got as early Christmas present from Hubby) who is 14 weeks and about 45 pounds, a solid grey cat, a black and white cat (rescue), a quaker parrot who is very funny, and 2 sugar gliders who I have only had for around 6 months. They all have helped me with my stress levels and making me laugh. Animals are so wonderful. Gentle hugs, Debi -- Re:/pets , you mentioned your animals...what animals do you have. That is my ultimate dream one day to have an animal shelter but not just have dogs but also have goats and horses ect LOL. I love animals so much and want to win lotto so bad so we can have a 'shelter'. Dennis (my hubby) knows id probably have a hard time giving away any fostered pets though lol. I have dogs, a cat and 2 lop eared bunnies. Neighbors ued to have goats out back that i loved so much but they ended up giving them to new home.
