Guest guest
In cooking with hot peppers, we're advised to wear rubber gloves while handling them to avoid contact with the skin, so I'm not surprised that it burned! But I've also had experience with DMSO more than once. For some reason it has earned respect as a " carrier " of healing herbs. The problem is (as I later discovered), DMSO is similar to turpentine. And you never want to get turpentine on your skin, either! But apparently not everyone is sensitive to DMSO, since it's still being recommended. I've discovered a NOW product called D-Flame and take 2 at a time, 3 or 4 times a day, as well as over-the-counter strength ibuprofen. I take a 2-day break from the D-Flame monthly, and break from ibuprofen after ten days or so. I also apply Arnica Gel to my sore muscles and swollen ankles. Of course, the symptoms do come back ... My doctor doesn't believe in pain killers, and advised me to rest and drink lots of water. That helps, but I don't want to spend my whole day resting! So I take pills. Good luck to you. Guest guest
The ONLY pain killers that have helped me are the narcotic mathadone. Wish I didn't have to take it but hopefully will be able to be off it soon, along with the clonipin, which also gives some relief. ~ In cooking with hot peppers, we're advised to wear rubber gloves while handling them to avoid contact with the skin, so I'm not surprised that it burned! Guest guest
Hi Helen , I too have posted abou tthis issue with DMSO and Hot pepper( capsicum ).DMSO is very powerful and combined with some things can be gently warming , like magnesium oil . However with capsicum ( hot pepper ) it is extremely burning to the skin and can damage it.DMSO has been used for years as veterinary medicine for horses and livestock especially those that work hard in competitive sports ( HORSE RACING OR JUMPING EVENTS).One day , someone started feeling their hand arthritis was better after rubbing it on the horses..People with issues of poor liver detox should be made aware that DMSO can be hard on the liver , so that extra detox methods should be used.( this tip I received from a professional equestrian competitor) Another good thing for nerve and muscle pain is topical St swort( also known as hypericum) and this CAN be used with DMSOJanFor pain, I hate taking painkiller medicine. Yesterday I put hot> pepper tincture/DMSO mixture applying to my pain area. It seems numbed> my pain. boy, it burned as hell. Any nature product you can suggest to> take care of pain?> "Im not trying to counsel any of you to do anything really special, except to dare to think, and to dare to go with the truth ,and to dare to love completely." -R.
