Weird Weather

To Althea, Elaine, and everyone else with weather woes! We have had

ours too here in southern Indiana. First 30 inches of snow before

Christmas, then rain...rain...more rain and flooding the last few

days. They were sandbagging houses and businesses all over town

because the river flows directly through town and crested at 22 feet,

well over flood stage. The little league diamonds looked like a

lake, and they had to rescue a man trapped in his camper at the

campground! Our house is high and dry, but we have to cross the

bridge to get into town, so we have stayed put, just went in a little

while ago to get groceries and prescriptions. At least we escaped

the ice that the northern part of the state got, but our SIL had to

drive through it all as he will again tonight.

They canceled my pool class, so my aching bones will have to wait

until Monday. If I could get the swelling in my wrists to go down,

I'd do some sewing--have a cute jumper to make for my little Bekah,

and sock monkeys for the boys. Saw my opthamologist the other day,

and he says the masses in my face are causing problems with my

vision, and I have an appointment March 10 at IU/Methodist--hope to

get some progressive thinking started there about Dercum's Disease!

The head of Dermatology is the one who diagnosed me, and he is

willing to coordinate my seeing other doctors within the complex, so

I won't have to travel but once a day, and if I have appointments on

2 successive days, Ron says we can stay at the Holiday Inn there,

sort of a mini-vacation.

I hope all the weird weather does not cause anyone more suffering,

Judi
