Guest guest Posted January 7, 2005 Report Share Posted January 7, 2005 I took my Patient Partner training with a young lady (22) who was on a soccer scholarship at a local university. She was stricken with RA and it progressed very quickly and ended her career as a player. Now, she is receiving Remicaid but a lot of damage was already done and she must live with that. However, she is now coaching for the team and is loving it. She sure misses getting out there in the field but her involvement as head coach is very satisfying and she has discovered a new talent she didn't know she had and is something she can continue with for many years.
