The first set of nerve blocks I had done only releived the pain by

about 40%. This second set was WAY different! I got better and

faster relief.

I haven't really paid attention to what level my pain gets to...I

try my best not to think about it at all! I only pay attention to

it when it gets bad enough to require attention. So it always seems

to me that I " all of a sudden " feel like crap, when actually, it

probably came on normally, and I was just too busy to notice til I

couldn't ignore it anymore.

I think any job that requires you to stand for long periods, bend,

stoop, etc, is a physically demanding job. With my job, I do all

that, plus have to pick up and work with bearing assemblies that

weigh anywhere from 1 pound to a couple hundred pounds (those get

done in pieces of course, not all together!) There are times when

I'm not strong enough (or tall enough!) to pick up some parts and

reassemble them. It was very hard for me to start asking for help,

but I didn't want to screw my lower back up any more.

Yes, that painfree day yesterday was wonderful. Those days are like

glimpses of sunshine on a gloomy day. Today wasn't too bad, but I

took it incredibly easy, watching every move I made, and went

prepared for anything. I'm not real crazy about those injections,

so I'm not going to jeopardize them working. I have thought about

nerve ablation, what does it entail?

Your doing right by asking for help with heavy items. I still watch

what I lift because I can tell right away its to heavy.

If your like me always been to independent for my own good. Its hard

asking for help but it gets easier as time goes by.

If your nerve blocks stop working I dont know if they will move on

to nerve burning. They did that with me and so far I can live a

pretty normal life. I still have times when I hurt like when its

going to rain or been on my feet to long. My hubby says he has his

wife back not the one that has pain filled eyes.

So good luck and hoping that the pain stays away for a long time
