Oh no Rose :( Hugs, I didn't know you were sick. I had noticed you hadn't been

posting the past several days.

Is it a flu like illness? Or flares of what you already have? I hope you are

feeling better very soon! Don't sweat it about the pump info, I know you'll get

around to it.

Gentle hugs,

~Tommie

I will answer this about the pump I'm sorry its taking so long I've been so

Hi Rose!

I had forgotten about asking these questions. lol I had gone to an

Endocrinologist about getting the pump and he just ignored the fact. I guess he

didn't believe in them or he didn't feel I needed it. Even though he kept upping

my dose of Lantus. He has me up to 94u at bedtime and 34u in the morning, plus

the Humalog. And then my new PCP I went with back in April then added Metaformin

twice a day. Now you tell me, do I need a pump or what? Sure seems so to me. I

have since stopped seeing the Endo, after a year of that crap and I now have a

new PCP which has talked about another Endo for me. So we'll see. I just hope

they don't wait till have more damage from the diabetes to help me. So far I

only have poor circulation from it which is why I can't keep the swelling down

in my feet, ankles and legs. I also have discoloration now from the swelling

that will never go away. I really hate this. I take so much Humalog. I haven't

been able to find out if there can be problems from taking too much Humalog or

if there is such a thing. Do you have an idea? Someone had told me that it's

hard on the kidney's to take a lot of Humalog, have you heard this?

Rose, can you tell me how they install the pump? Where it's located? Risk of

infection? Comfort? It's kind of scary too, but it seems it's been a life saver

for you. I don't want to wait till I have heart damage.
