Guest guest
Keliz, Wow, you live in a major pain State. With all the cold you get. I'd love the snow you get, but you are probably tired of it huh? Do you get white Christmas's a lot? If so, I envy you. There is nothing like having a sofa in front of the window in the living room, with a lap blanket, book and a nice hot fire gleaming from my fireplace. Ah, that just sounds so relaxing. So since I don't have the window in my living room, well I have a patio door, but I can't put the sofa in front of that. lol And I don't have any wood or snow, I'll have to enjoy the gloomy, rainy day with a book and a blanket......mmmmmm see ya later I pray you make it to your appt tomorrow, lol not so you can see the cute PM doc, but so you can get your meds or what ever you are going for. lol hehehehe Ick on the inlaws. lol I never much cared for mine either but always got along well. Have a very Merry Christmas! ~Tommie Tommie Hi, I live in eastern Colorado by Colorado Springs. We are supposed to have a doozy of a storm tomarrow, but I hope not cuz I have a appt with my pain MD who is really cute. LOL. The klonopin is still making me tired but Im keeping up with it cuz it does help. Jeff (hubby) did a bunch of running around today so I kinda had a day off, we are trying to get the house clean for our in-laws who are coming Saturday, blarttt. LOL. So, I am sitting here waiting for xmas to be over, Its just too stressful-cooking, cleaning, wrapping. Even when Jeff helps it still seems to be alot. Just a short note, hope you are ok keliz
Guest guest
Yep It's nice to have you back . I'm so glad your computer is fixed and you are doing ok. It sure sounds like you haven't had it too awfully bad since we last heard from you. That's great! I know you have the usual pain and stuff, yes, hugs! But no major flares? I sure hope not anyway. I can't remember if you told us earlier in the first post if you had a good Christmas, it seems you did. Gosh if I only had a memory. Gonna have to go see that Wizard! Anyway, I hope you had a Merry one and a Happy New Year too. 2007 has to be better in some ways for all of us! Hugs and love, Tommie Re: tommie Hello again to everyone, Tommie Hello again, and thanks to all who have welcomed me back again. I did really miss everyone and I do enjoy reading all of the posts. I hate it that we're all in so much pain, but when I hear that someone else is worse off than I am , well then it makes me feel better that I am not as bad as that person, but I feel bad for that person. Anyway, today was a day to go to my primary care doc, to get refills on my daily meds, and also I needed blood drawn again, I get it drawn every three months, my primary care doc wants it, to keep track of my liver and everything else, because of all the meds I take, and the pain mgmt doc wants it for keeping track of the liver, and since I have horrible veins, always have had no veins to speak of, and its soooo hard to get blood from me, well, I just get it taken at my primary care doc and then bring a copy to the pain mgmt doc. I will not go thru it twice. NOPE NO WAY, and why should I go thru it twice just so the primary doc and pain mgmt doc can have the same results?? that makes no sense. Well today my doc was very busy, and he usually gets my blood on the first try, and sent his nurse in to do it, she has in the past gotten it, and doesnt hurt, well she did stick me twice, it did not hurt when she was doing it, but now my arm is a bit bruised up. and it does hurt. I hate having teeny tiny no veins for when they need blood or an IV in me!! And the worst part is: before I got on SSDI, and worked, my job was medical lab tech, and I did draw blood for a living!!! LOL I always say now that I am getting paid back now for all of the patients I stuck for over 30 years of working in this profession. And its also bad cause I know what needle they should use, and where they should try to get my blood, I used to never tell any nurses techs or whoever took my blood that I used to do it, because they would get an attitude, but now, as it is getting worse trying to get my blood, I do tell them and they all say to me, thank you, u know your own body and veins and where to get it, so they like me to tell them where to stick me so they can get the blood. Well, now I wont have to have any more blood hopefully drawn, for at least three more months. Well, enough of that talk, LOL I hope you all have less pain today, and I feel for all of you who are in really bad pain. The weather here in Florida has been so nutty, we usually do get some cool months in the winter, but so far not so many cool days, we did have a few days in the 30's early morning, and some frost, but today it was nice and cool early in the morning, but it got into the high 70's today. and I have heard and seen the plants that are blooming, and they shouldnt be doing this right now. the plants etc are all so mixed up due to this nutty weather, my tv is on and in the background I am hearing the news and they are saying our weather here in florida will be in the 80s this weekend, I do like a little bit of cool weather only because we are always so hot and humid and cool is a nice break, but... the cool does bother all of my bone problems and arthritis etc. I guess I am not ever gonna be happy!! I know one thing for sure though, I am happy that I am not living in an area where there is snow and ICE STORMs, and my friend who lives in ENID OKLAHOMA, called me to tell me they are getting an Ice storm shortly. I know there are a few here that live in oklahoma and I know you all will know what I am talking about. well... everyone please take care and be careful in the bad weather. I will be praying for not too much pain for all of you in the really cold areas, and also prayers are being said for the person who is having surgery. I cant remember who it is. sorry. well, sorry this is too long, guess I had alot to say. LOL I am going to lie down for awhile, after my full day of doctor ,pharmacy and grocery store and taking my little doggie out with me riding on my scoter, as I cannot walk that far or for too long with my cane, so I use the scooter. And I am totally exhausted and my neck and back are really hurting me now. So...... Bye all. Love denise in orlando florida --------------------------------- Cheap Talk? Check out Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi Debi, well, they did use a baby needle, a butterfly with the tubing and a teeny needle. still they messed it up. I also am sick of new things cropping up to make things worse for me. Oh well... at least on the second or was it the third time?? LOL they got it. with a baby needle in my arm where they should have gone to in the first place. I have a doctor who takes my blood and he says there is a small skin tag on my arm and right at that point there is a nice vein to get blood out of so I asked the nurse, please try there, she did and she got the blood. Great!! Now if only I can get rid of the horrible bruise on my left forearm, it looks terrible, thats where she stuck me first and the blood clotted and hemolyzed and was no good so she had to start over. anyway, I put makeup and concealer on it and it makes me feel better not to see that ugly big old bruise!! LOL Well, I also want to tell all of you in the oklahoma area and other areas who have had the ice storm, I have been praying for you all so that u wont have too much damage and power outtages. Take care everyone. and I am gonna finish up my emails then go to bed. I am hurting a bit tonite. Love, denise in orlando florida Debi Calcutt wrote: Hi , I have the same problem with my veins...they finally started using an infant s needle and that has seemed to help. Went to the doctor's Friday and found out on top of all of my problems and the tiny rolling veins that I now have Vasculitis too! So tired of getting more and more problems popping up! Try the baby needles next time and see if that helps!!! Gentle hugs, Debi -- Re: tommie Hello again to everyone, Tommie Hello again, and thanks to all who have welcomed me back again. Guest guest
Hi , Hopefully next time you will remember to tell them to try where the skin tag is!!!! I hate it when they don't hit the vein and instead of pulling it out and trying again they try and dig the needle around to get the vein...that really hurts! Hang in there sweetie.
