Guest guest
We are a 250 bed acute care hospital with a 13 bed skilled unit. We currently have up to 9 PTs and OTs working at one time. This has increased in the past few months due to increased census. The number of transporters has not increased. Currently there are two transporters during the week and they seem to be overworked. My question is does anybody have any benchmarking data re: number of transports to be expected? The transporters seem most comfortable with about 12 or 13 each in the morning or afternoon, but it often exceeds that. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
