Guest guest
Hi, Sue I've been on the new 50 mg weekly Enbrel for five weeks now. It is working for me, Humira didn't. I also take 7.5mg trexall, 5mg pred. and folgard2x2, my hubbie sees a big difference in me. I now tend to wear myself out by the fourth or fifth day but I'm just happy for something to work. I think it stings just like the humira but i don't put ice on my arm first, and my hubbie gives me the shot in the back of my arm, just a tad fatty there. I cant use my legs for the shot because of too many veins, so it works for me in the arm. I just had blood work last week, hope my WBC goes down. Will let ya know. Also, I signed up for Enliven, its the program for people on Enbrel, they send a nice packet of stuff, plus a container for needles. P.S. Thank you for all your posts.. Peace,
Guest guest
Hi , I'm glad that Enbrel is working for you. It's working very well for me. I just hope the 50mg weekly will last the whole week. I give my injections in my stomach. I have lots of stretch marks to avoid, but I think the legs or arms would hurt worse. My co-pay for Enbrel is going up from $25 to $40 a month. My insurance allows for a 34-day supply of meds for one co-pay. With Enbrel, I actually get just a 28-day supply. I called the Enbrel people, and they checked to see if there was some way I could get a 34-day supply, but there wasn't. So you have a high WBC count. Mine is below normal, but it's from the mtx and Arava that I took before Enbrel. It doesn't seem to want to go up, though. Maybe you could give me some of yours, since you have too many, LOL.
