Guest guest
I don’t have any suggestions, but hope your treatments go well! Would you mind telling us when they start? Eads, MD Pinnacle Family Medicine Colorado Springs, CO www.PinnacleFamilyMedicine.com From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Beth Sullivan Sent: Wednesday, October 19, 2011 12:41 PM To: Subject: Mobile Device advice I want to get an e-reader/netbook or android tablet device that I can download all of the handouts for the last 2 AAFP scientific assemblies and the mp3’s from the pro-libraries so I can take them with me when I go for my chemo and for the car rides back and forth to Atlanta. I have to be able to view and hopefully annotate the pdf handout documents while listening to the lecture recordings. I thought an Android tablet rather than just an e-reader so I could also put a few games on the device or a movie or two for the days when I am just not feeling up to filling my brain with more information. Unfortunately I can’t afford an iPad right now but my son loves his Android tablet. The one he has only has a 5” screen and I would like to get one that was a little bigger. I tried putting the handouts and lectures on my Android smartphone but the screen on it was just so small I couldn’t read the handouts let alone annotate them with notes. Does anyone have any suggestions on a moderately priced device that would let me do this. Thanks in advance for everyone’s assistance. Guest guest
I have been getting them 3x per week for last 6 weeks. This was after the earlier set back where my white count dropped so low and they were put on hold. I have 8-10 more weeks to go Dr. Beth Sullivan, DO From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of EadsSent: Wednesday, October 19, 2011 10:10 PMTo: Subject: RE: Mobile Device advice I don’t have any suggestions, but hope your treatments go well! Guest guest
I recently got the color Nook from /noble. I too wanted ipad but the nook is half the price (of the ipad and the loaded android pads). For $250 it is color, 7 " color touch screen. Unlike the amazon kindle, it is compatible with all the other ebook formats. It's processor is slow but in a pinch it is an acceptable web browser and email reader too! It does music too. Finally, although i havent b/c it will void the warranty, you can easily bypass the Nook front end and run the regular android operating system that powers the system. May be the solution you're looking for. Best wishes! Art Treiman > > I have been getting them 3x per week for last 6 weeks.
