Dear

if you find a good acupuncturist, I think you will find it a great

help. He/she must be open to all the pain and nerve sensations that we

TCS'ers get, but in terms of pain relief it is wonderful

I have been having it for 4.5 months now for another chronic problem,

and it is certainly helping me get through the horrid winter months.

OK, I still get very bad days, but there are many more good days, or

days when the pain and discomfort is not as bad as it could be

Good luck

, I was able to be self-sufficient the day I left

the hospital 6 days after surgery. I had scary and

severe pain getting in and out of bed and up and down

into chairs for several weeks (when I hit a certain

position it felt like I got 10,000,000 volts shot thru

my spine). I did however have my wife by my side

throughout - Although she didn't have to do anything

special I sure wouldn't have wanted to be alone for

the first week or so in case something had happened.

By the way, I went back to work 2 weeks to the day

after I had surgery. This was a mistake from the point

of view that I was in great discomfort sitting at a

desk for long periods and just being away from the

chance to lay down etc. It was really another couple

of weeks before I felt ok, and to this day 9 months

later I have problems with numbness etc. that get

worse if I sit too long or have to drive or (worse)

fly somewhere. I am now scheduled for accupuncture to

see if it will help. Good luck,
