Has anyone ever experienced stress causing a flare-up? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Stress can have negative effects in many ways on many things. And yes, it can also adversely affect MS. Guest guest
Sure have, oh YES! Even "good" stress, such as travelling, parties or other major events, may require a "recovery " period after. You just have to plan for it. Guest guest
I want to thank everyone for the responses. I woke up yesterday and actually felt good (that was totally awsome!) Then in the afternoon I had to go out to take my daughters friend home (about half hour drive one way). On the way back my daughter and I barely avoided to car accidents. By last night I was having problems with my legs feeling sort of shaking jello-ish (hope that makes sense ) Then I started having spasms in the muscles in my lower back, hips and thighs. Today I woke up in even more pain but since I'm still in limboland my GP wants me to come into the office and see her partner tonight. I've seen him before for the same thing when it happened about 7 mnths ago (before they found the possiblity of MS) and he won't do anything. Says I need to go have x-rays do. So, I'm sitting here in pain, it's hard to walk, my hubby is at work and I have no clue what to do. I know that it was caused because I had the supreme poop scared out of me but how does one explain that to the doctor? If anyone has any suggestions please share them. I still have 3 hours before the dr. leaves the office and if it gets any worse I know I'm going to have to go. I've thought about going to the ER but that seems rather extreme. On another note, I've been extremely busy with my kiddos and about a billion other things but I've started trying to catch up on reading the posts. I remember someone having a prob with there family not understanding the problems that come with an ADHD child. To whom ever that was, I also have a son that is ADHD, plus a nephew. If you need someone to talk to please let me know. Thanks to all, Blessings, Dawn Re: Sorry, another quick question Sure have, oh YES! Guest guest
Dawn, Between the stress of the "Almost Accident's" and the stress of your business with the kids.....it sounds like you are trying to do too much. I know that it is easy for me to say.........but you need to let go some and rest. Do the best that you can and learn when to let go. It is difficult to determine when to "let go" but for your own sake you must learn that. All one person can do is the best that they can.........when you learn that you will know when to let go. Oftentimes those around you will not understand....but you still have to let go. When you do the best that you can there is nothing left that you can do.....that is enough. Be at peace with that. This is a very difficult lesson to learn but once you have it, you will understand. I hope this helps you. Regards, Tom
