Guest guest
Greetings...I want to thank you Marina, (and also )..I went out and bought this hugely long body pillow, and some " tiger balm " patches, and put one of the patches on my left shoulder....when I went to sleep last night, I had that pillow between my knees, and I was kind of hugging it to me, and it did take a lot of perssure off my arm and shoulder. thank you for your help. I was actually able to sleep thru about half the night!Wonderful! Right now, I am very sick, taking " thermaflu " ,trying to break up this terrible congestion in my face and lungs..I am coughing my head off, and just generally feel like roadkill on a mississipi highway in july, during rush hour! I.m so tired, I keep hitting the wrong keys, and have to go back and correct the mis spelled words, so I will close now. Thank you for your friendship an help! Your sugestins helped.! love, ken P.S.Marina, do you think I am " wrong " to end all my posts with " love, ken? " At heart, I am an ald hippie, a Christian, and I just really DO love my fellow humans, but a lot of times I will write to some one, ending with " love, ken " and they never write back. Do you think I scare them, or am I being " inappropiate?? The thing is, I am a wordsmith, and an artist, with deep feelings for a lot...am I wrong? love, me __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Dear Ken: I know what you mean Ken. A lot of times I end things with Love and I feel people take offense to it. Well, I still use it or Sincerely, either one. If they don't like it then they are just too scared to be my friend, and that is their loss. Love,

Guest guest
Ken, The body pillow was an excellent choice. I have one too!! It ie great for between the arms and between the knees. If you need to elevate an extremity because of swelling, you can fold it in half and it gives you the perfect elevation. It is also good to use for your back. If you fold it in half and lay across it with the pillow in the small of your back, it allows you to stretch the spine a little bit. It works well on the bed or the floor (for those who can get back up once they are down!!!). Heat is also good for that shoulder. Don't coddle your shoulder too much, Ken. It is important to do range of motion. If you have too much pain doing it yourself then ask your wife if she would help you with it by holding your wrist and elbow and going through the range of motion exercises (that is considered passive range of motion). It is important because if you don't exercise it you run the risk of developing a frozen shoulder. The only way to fix that is to go to surgery (they just put you to sleep so you are completely relaxed and then they force your shoulder into the full range of motion. You go to sleep because it is also painful!!). So, get that shoulder looked at and keep it moving. At least a few times a day. As for the " Love " . Personally, I don't think people say it enough. I don't take offense to it. I think it's great that you put yourself out there. More people should do that. Besides, when I sign a card or a letter to family members, I sign it " Love, Marina " . And, if you think about it (but not too hard, don't want you to hurt yourself!!), the members of this group are just one big family!! We support each other, we care about the pain each feels, we listen to the stories of our daily lives, we talk about our children, we make each other laugh, we make each other cry, sounds like things families do!! So, Ken, pour on the LOVE!!! I hope you get over that cold soon!! Believe it or not, but I have been on plaquenal, steroids, methotrexate, enbrel (or remicaide) for about 2 years now and I haven't gotten sick yet!! Not even my annual bronchitis or the flu!! And I am exposed to this crud all the time because I work in a hospital!! Boy, if I had known this, I would have gotten on all this stuff a long time ago!! Instead of knocking my immune system down, it seems to have boosted it!! Oh well. My rheumatologist told me he didn't think I was typical!! Take care, Ken. Email me too if you like!!....Blesssed Be....Love, Marina!!
