Guest guest
I am seeing a PA at a pain management clinic who seems to think she knows how much pain I should feel. Every time they try something that doesn't work, such as an ESI or Facet Injections, and I come in early because I am in so much pain, she tells me " Well, I have 3 herniated discs " and she shrugs her shoulders as if to say " and I am ok, why aren't you? " So now I feel like they think I am " searching " . I have much more that just 3 herniated discs to worry about. I have 2 faild surgeries, nerve root damage resulting in foot drop, scar tissue from the first surgery wrapped around the nerves in my lower back, DDD, Stenosis, etc. So I think I feel a little different than she does. She referred to my last MRI ( last December) and said the only change was the stenosis and degenerative disorders. Well, that's the only change, but I still have all this other stuff messing with me. Anyway, how difficult is it to change pain docotors? I don't really feel that she is being as compassionate as she could be because she feels that her problem gives her a scale to rate my pain with. Thank you for listening, Robin
