I can't see how that would help. But just to answer the question, I seem to have developed an earache, which explains the 99.8 temp I had at noon the day I left the hospital. They gave me antibiotics, and I'm taking them, and I'm getting fewer pangs this evening. Also, the nose is completely plugged up, with the splints, with packing, and until recently, a lot of blood boogers. (See why I didn't want to get into the details?) I can load myself up with a couple of trazadone and codeine and get to sleep for a little while, but my mouth gets so dry it wakes me up, and I have to drink something, then go to the bathroom, and by then I'm too awake to go back to sleep. I did think of something to help with the foggy feeling in my head, Alka-Seltzer Plus for colds. I had to ask the guy across the hallway to go to the drugstore and get it and a thermometer, and some goodies this morning. I tried it, and soon I was able to suck all the stuff that was in my sinuses down into my throat and spit it out. And my head- ache went away! Funny, codeine and ibuprofen could't touch it, but Alka-Seltzer kicked its butt. It's back now, but I can take some more before I try to go to bed. > It's awful not to be able to sleep. I feel stronger today, with the respite from the headache, and the nose isn't quite as touchy, so I feel like I'm getting better now. Thanks for asking. I can't see how that would help. Just to make things very clear so no misunderstandings on this occur in the future with anyone: When I describe things like that in detail I am *not* generally looking for sympathy, and can get very uncomfortable when people say " There, there " or " I'm so sorry " in response to such descriptions. I meant " people in general " , or even NT people. I didn't have anyone specific in mind. Sometimes my clients will go into a long spiel about their stays in a hospital, or give minute details of their suffering. I'm supposed to sit there and look interested. I figured you meant people in general, which is why I wrote something so that in case I ever went into details on this list, it would be generally realized that I was an exception. I am (through experiences that equated " You're looking through sympathy " with immediate abuse after someone made the statement) more emotionally sensitive to false charges of " looking for sympathy " than most people are, so I wanted to prevent that accusation before it could happen.
