Guest guest
Hi Jerri, I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia too. My primary doc. referred me to a rhuematologist, generally on your first visit, the rhuem. will ask alot of questions about physical history, everything regarding pain, where is the pain, when does it hurt, when is it worst, etc. then he/she may order blood tests to see if you have any other type of arthritis, my rheum prescribed me Relafen(Nabumetone generic) to calm the inflammation. Most rheum prescribes PT (physical therapy) anyway. It's nothing to really be afraid of. Usually rheum. don't refer to Pain Ctr. unless all remedies to control pain has been exhausted. The physical therapy is relaxing/fun (water excercises, usually for arthritis/fibromalgia). Hope this helps, Take care, LaDonna. " jerri " wrote: > > I have fibromyalgia. I'm looking for a doctor to treat me. I have an appointment with a rhuey in july. But i see a " rehab & Pain mangement clinc " in my city. i'm so scared to go to the doctor, more so scared of the outcome.
