Guest guest
aandraya and susan b, thank you for this discussion. for a few years i've had dr k's protocols all over my computer, i really like hearing your opinions. susan yes i've read that your score is in the equivocal area. did either of you have a bunch of the symptoms of kpu?aandraya did your llnd suggest this to you? or did you decide to do it on your own? muscle test for it? did you go by symptoms or difficulty detoxing? and how about the detoxing, is your llnd helping you? i have the cbs++ (b6 messes with that) and very high mercury, lead, and so i've hesitated to just do it on my own; can barely handle the detoxing from tiny supps. it gets confusing, yasko and k disagree on some key points, yasko is very against chlorella, too high in glutamates and cu, i know i need to work with all these issues. i test my supps myself, they vary a lot day to day and i feel better following my readings rather than a set protocol. but i sure would like to be working with someone, llmd or llnd, who is familiar with these protocols. the urine test i took of course shows what the body is dumping of minerals. i take the test about 6 hours after supps. i daily supplement with about 50mg zinc and a little cu and my tests almost always show low in both. i take 500mcg of molybdenum and a tiny speck of lithium but the urine tests show i'm dumping huge amounts of lithium (it is always off the chart, don't know where it is coming from) and lots of molybdenum. and platinum, off the charts as well. so who knows what is going on in the tissues. xo susie -Zinc blood tests tend not to be reliable, the body maintains a constant level of it in the blood while it can be nonexistent in the tissues. When it starts to be depleted in the blood you are almost ready to die. Also, it is unlikely you would be high in zinc if you have Lyme.Aandraya Hi , I can't remember my score. I think I was a 14 or 15 on the KPU test which was one point below what is considered positive KPU. Dr. Dahlgren in Dr. Klinghardts office told me to do the KPU protocol anyway. My LLMD in Alaska did a minerals test on me and said that my zinc and copper were both high which is rather unusual. She did not think that it would be a good idea to do extra zinc. I can't remember the name of the minerals test, but it is the one recommended by Amy Yasko. It was a blood test. I did not stay on the Core long enough for the zinc to cause a copper deficiency. I also was suspicious of my test results, because I did not freeze the urine before sending it. The written instructions Dr. Klinghardt gave, were kind of vague and did not mention freezing the Urine. I found out later that it was supposed to be frozen. He said to put Vitamin C in the container to preserve the urine. I used Sodium Ascorbate instead of Ascorbic Acid and it was supposed to be Ascorbic Acid. I think that my results may have been a little off as a result of not getting clear directions. I know that he has revamped the directions since I did the test. The main thing is you need to follow Dr. Klinghardt's instructions rather then those the lab sends. His instructions basically read collect urine for 24 hours. Add ascorbic acid, I can't remember the amount to the first collection to preserve all of the 24 hours of urine collected. Once all th! e urine is collected, you pour some of it into the lab container included in the kit and then freeze it for 24 hours and then send off. Here is a site that tells more about the two tests. http://planetthrive.com/2010/04/hpukpu-protocol-for-lyme-and-autism/ > > > > > > Aandraya, > > > > > > did you get tested for pyroluria or did you just start taking > > Klinghardt's Core supplement? Guest guest
Hi Susie, The following are results of my Yasko Methylation Panel if you want to compare it to yours: Gene Name Variation Result Call COMT V158M +/- Hetero COMT H62H +/- Hetero COMT 61 -/- G VDR Taq -/- C VDR Fok +/- Hetero MAO A R297R +/+ T ACAT 1-02 -/- G ACE Del16 +/+ DELETION MTHFR C677T +/+ T MTHFR 3 -/- C MTHFR A1298C -/- A MTR A2756G +/- Hetero MTRR A66G +/+ G MTRR H595Y -/- C MTRR K350A -/- A MTRR R415T -/- C MTRR S257T -/- T MTRR 11 +/- Hetero BHMT 1 -/- A BHMT 2 +/+ T BHMT 4 +/+ C BHMT 8 +/+ T AHCY 1 -/- A AHCY 2 -/- T AHCY 19 -/- A CBS C699T +/- Hetero CBS A360A +/- Hetero SUOX S370S -/- No Support Needed SHMT C1420T +/- Hetero NOS D298E +/- Hetero I also had another test called the Detoxgenomic Profile which showed a complete absence of the gene SOD 2. It also showed other mutations that are linked to poor phase 2 Methylation and Cancers. The GSTP1 gene was +/- This gene deals with Glutathione S-transferase which is responsible for detoxification as well. Most of my genetic profiles predict, multiple chemical sensitivities or cancer as an outcome without intervention. I am really trying to outsmart my bad genetic profile. I do have very high Mercury and Lead loads in spite of the fact that I have never had amalgam fillings as I was blessed with perfect teeth, no cavities. I am finding that the coffee enemas with Redi sorb liquid Glutathione drops in them has helped bring my metal loads down and has turned my MCS around. I am also now opening EDTA capsules and adding them to my CEs as well. My friend who died of Cancer and Lyme had two big bottles of prescription EDTA from DK. Before she died, she told me to take any supplements that I thought I might use. So I grabbed the Dr. Enzymes and the EDTA and some Rhizol oils. I just muscle tested The Core supplement again today and my body does not seem to want it. I guess I should order another Vitamin Diagnostics test from DKs office and have it redone since I was skeptical of the outcome of the first test. I can then put the KPU issue to rest once and for all. I seem to test better for Cilantro then Chlorella. I do use Chlorella but I always test better on Cilantro for some reason, maybe Yasko is right. Yasko is brilliant, but many doctors disagree with her. BH4 is very helpful for Ammonia Detoxification if you don't have too high of Sulphur levels. Ecological Formulas makes a homeopathic version as you can no longer buy the Pharma version in this country. You have to have a prescription and order it out of Germany. The heavy metal issues are my biggest problem at the moment. I am past the ammonia problems since Lyme is no longer in the picture, but I realize that as I am killing this fungal infection, it is releasing a lot of heavy metals. I am working pretty aggresively on killing the Candida and as I do, I am trying to step up the heavy metal detoxification as well. It is not easy though as I can only do so much before my body says enough. I would recommend that you call DK office in Seattle and see if they would order a test for you over the phone. They do phone consults sometimes. I hope this helps. > >> > > > > >> > > > Aandraya, > >> > > > > >> > > > did you get tested for pyroluria or did you just start taking > >> > > Klinghardt's Core supplement?
