Guest guest
I've been sick with an upper respiratory virus since 12/22/10. My blood test showed that the antibodies I need for defending against respiratory illness are extremely low. I am so cold I am wearing 4 layers of clothing with a cardigan on top. If I sit down I have a blanket over my legs and I'm still shivering. I am coughing constantly today, though some days not as much. I finally had to resort to cough syrup with codeine to stop the coughing long enough to sleep. My doctor says I'm oxygenating very well and my lungs sound good, so she ruled out pneumonia. I've been sick for over 5 weeks with no sign of improvement at all. I had one session of IV vitamin C with no results. I'm told that since it's viral there's no treatment and nothing to do but wait it out. I've been unable to work since late December, and constantly feel awful. If I knew what the virus is I could coil for it but I have no idea. I'm continuing to coil for Lyme and EBV, for which my titers are high. And I'm doing binders and CE's. None of this is alleviating any of these symptoms. Is anyone else experiencing anything similar, having any luck with any form of treatment, or have anything to suggest? Thanks.
