Guest guest
Hi Robin, my specialist is Dr. Gordon . I have been seeing him on a monthly basis since May. I was sent to him for vulvar vestibulitis, but he said I have vaginitis as well. The vaginitis diagnosis combined with the vv explains a lot about my inability to have sex with my husband. I am interested in finding out that a lot of you have flare-ups. I don't feel like I ever have any flare-ups, but rather that my condition has gradually grown worse over the years. In the beginning, I would just feel a little burning with penetration, but that would disappear after a couple of seconds. Gradually, the burning sensation lasted longer and longer and then I started feeling tense and dry. Even though I am in my twenties, I would read articles about menopause and identify with the feelings of dryness and loss of elasticity described. I do not have vaginismus, but I definitely have lost all desire to have sex because of the pain. I am not sure that numbing the area would work for me, because of the vaginitis and my total loss of desire. Thanks for listening okapi Your post to the list > Hi there, > > I'm a former vulvodynia sufferer in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
