Somewhere online (google it) there is a site devoted to rashes and their description, naming, and possible treatments. I'm a Lymie of several and have psoriasis, which I believe is directly related. Not sure what you have, as your description isn't detailed. Some say psoriasis is and auto-inflammatory disease, but i think it is a response to an infection of some sort, and with Lymies, there are enough co-infections to keep it going and changing. (Incidentally, a yellow-jacket sting on one elbow manifested as pian and rash on the other, soon after)Presently, I'm taking gotu-kola and feverfew orally, as well as topically in the form of extracts. A couple weeks ago, I began taking fumaric acid and between all these things, my patches are diminishing a bit every day.I hope you can sort this out. Not fun.Be well,LénaDoes anyone have a really persistent wide spread rash? I'm not really sure what I have but I was guessing Bart due to skin problems starting w flea bites from outdoor cats, but live near heavy bush area and deer in area for now 15 years and tick bite highly likely but I don't hear people talk much about skin problems. I have terrible skin problems. Its' a return of this too. I had a persistent rash on various parts of my body and it lasted for three years. Finally it disappeared. Was so thankful, then I got these flea bites from an outdoor cat that got into my house while I was away for a summer and the skin problems all over again, now two years of skin lesions. Doesn't matter how meticulous I am with my skin, they persist.

Hi Barb, From what I've read about Feverfew, it discourages the mast cells which make skin inflammation. I noticed after using it that the centers of my rash began to shrink and the surrounding redness diminished quite a lot except after scrubbing in the shower. Be well,LénaBarb,I have itchy skin, I had it two years ago with my pregnancy but went away, just thought it was part of the pg. Then about a month ago after lyme load was down and babesia reared its ugly head, I got theitchy skin back. From what I can tell physiologically is that I am having a histamine overeaction to the bacteria and high cortisol levels from adrenal exhaustion, it in turn creates the histamine reaction andmy skin doesn't have a rash it will just start itching soooo bad and then it turns really read and puffs up where I scratched it, it will go away and start over again, it is horrible. Doc says it’s the lyme and touse oils, cool water, etc...but those things do not help....I am on adrenal herbs and trying to balance cortisol with licorice/siberian ginseng and detoxing to see if I can get a balance with it. There are really lesions, sores and they don't itch.  Skin started out w

lesions from flea bites two years ago and never cleared up but morphed lesions

moved from areas biten by fleas to other areas.  In other words flea bites

disappeared from primary location on legs and ankles and appear from out of

nowhere, come from within, mainly on trunk of body and follow nerve path.  I

thought Shingles as I've had it before and could be again but doc says its

unusual to have shingles persist but doctors are so often wrong.  I googled

'chronic shingles' and found people talking about it so either they have

something else or as usual doctors are out of touch or don't deal with 'chronic

things' etc for symptom management.  Anyway, Bart attacks nerve also and

description of rash of bart as being 'burning' is same as Shingles which is

'burning pain' also.  Pain has gone away recently but the lesions are hanging

around as they have for two years now.  Years ago

I had lesions/rash that hung around for three years.  It finally disappeared

and when I got bitten by fleas I thought 'oh no' there goes my skin again.  I

had worn long sleeves and long pants even though hot weather and finally was

back in clothes that revealed my skin and had to go back to all covered up.  I

don't hear people talk much about their skin so wondering if I've misdiagnosed

my problem.  It started w the flea bites so I figured bart.  Western Blot

shows one bank of lyme only.  Of course fleas can carry other things besides

bart I guess.  Even in Bart group, I don't hear much discussion of rash..?

Hi Dana,

I have the same itchy rash! I have not met anyone else that describes this like

you do. I have had it off and on since 2005, about 6 months before I was DX'd

with Lyme. I have had a slightly positive Babs test, but the most recent one was

Negative after 1 1/2 years on D lenolate for the bugs. I rarely have the itchies

now, but on occasion they do crop up tho not as bad as they used to. I have

found that hydrogen peroxide stops them in a few minutes. I just slap it on with

a paper towel or my hand.

Do you have lesions/sores too?  Now that I think of it, the ones I've scratched,

become itchy but it doesn't start w an itch.  It's starts w sores.  If I don't

pick at them, they don't itch.  I think the ones I pick at become mildy infected

and then those itch.  I've quietly suffering for years figuring they will

eventually go away but looks like, not really.

Hello Barb,

No I don't have sores. My skin looks fine til the welts appear after the itching

starts. It doesn't welt at all if I don't scratch it. It can begin spontaneously

or if I accidentally rub the area. Toweling off after a shower can bring it on

as can sitting or laying. Whatever area is in touch with a surface and gets

rubbed can itch. It rarely happens now but was bad up to a year or so ago.

Hi , I had similar problems. I had a combination of welts from Bart,

rashes and hives. The adrenal gland controls histamine production. When your

adrenals are failing often your histamine goes haywire and these rashes appear

out of nowhere.

Have you had your adrenals checked?

, you are describing a toxic rash from the liver. You need to step up your

detox when that happens. It's called " the itch that rashes " . I'll look up the

information but I have had that. First it itches but your skin looks okay, then

the rash appears. That is because the irritation is UNDER your skin, the toxins

are irritating your skin deep down and it takes awhile to show itself on the

surface. It will look reddish and inflamed. Its usually in the thin skinned

area where blood vessels come near to the surface. I wish I could remember

where I found that ...about two years ago when I had it. I thought I had poison

ivy at first bec it's around the house. Anyway, I'll see if I can find it but I

KNOW that is a toxic rash...like I know my own name. You can take that to the

bank.

Here they are calling it 'eczema' and say cause is " not known " , but I know it is

toxic rash..long story but CSM or any good detox agent will make it go away,

also if you are taking antibiotics or natural kill products you should back down

in dosage or take a break until it is gone. You don't want to damage your

liver. I got them at the area where blood vessels come to the surface at my

wrist and also at the area you give blood, where I bend my arms. I had my arms

all wrapped up with goo on them trying to fight the " poison ivy " that went on

and on and didn't stop until I came to the end of my Candida medicine..ahah, I

didn't think of that! It went on all summer long. I was using every poison ivy

product there was. Nothing worked except for taking my last anti candida pill.

Lucky I didn't ruin my liver. I get it every once in awhile now but I know what

it is. I start to itch and I look and see nothing, then finally tiny little

bumps start to come and I do what I need to for my liver and they go away, don't

develope into the terrible bumpy burning itchy rash I had that summer.

Are the sores all over your body? If so, I would immediately think rocky

mountain spotted fever. It is a lyme co-infection that I had and was covered

head to toe in little blister like sores for a month or so until I covered

myself in antibacterial essential oils daily (before I knew I had lyme and

rmsf). Do you have a coil/rife? I have a frequency for rmsf.

Jim/Lena,

I took a rather large dose of feverfew last night as the histamine reactions to this disease was crazy last night, and within 2 hours

not only did the itch go away but a general feeling of creepy skin all left, I am going to add this to the mix and get back on my jap knotweed

and stephania that I quit taking thinking maybe I am having an allergic reaction to something I am on. Also, in Buhner's book he says that Bartonella

lives in the endothelial cells and aggravate that area and also causes anemia (which I have) and disrupts the rbc's production. So maybe that is it.

I did make an appt. to get my co infections test done just for peace of mind and to also have my two year old tested so hopefully this test will

give me indicators of what all I have in there. Also, my LLMD I just found and went to is leaving his practice, he called last night. Said a "recruiter"

called him and offered him a excellent job in Afghanistan and good money if he would go. Go figure, one of the only llmd's in texas and this

"recruiter" has picked him to be the one to go to Afghanistan, isn't there like a thousand other docs out there that could do this....I am not a

conspiracy theorist but geeez......so now I have to find a new one....(sigh)...hope yall have a great day....dana

Hi Tamara,

Yes I've had my adrenals tested several times over the past two years. I use

saliva testing. My cortisol was very high the firt time I had it tested, as I

was on 20mg Sustained release compounded cortisol. Over a few months I went off

of it, and the last test I had was just a tad high in the AM and normal the rest

of the day. I'm due for another check soon.

The reallly odd thing was I expected the cortisol to be very low as that's how I

felt. I actually improved off of the cortisol, both in fatigue and itching. My

Doc told me you can feel just as bad with too much cortisol as not enough. True

enough in my case.

like you do. I have had it off and on since 2005, about 6 months before I was

DX'd with Lyme. I have had a slightly positive Babs test, but the most recent

one was Negative after 1 1/2 years on D lenolate for the bugs. I rarely have the

itchies now, but on occasion they do crop up tho not as bad as they used to. I

have found that hydrogen peroxide stops them in a few minutes. I just slap it on

with a paper towel or my hand.

I don't have rife machine yet but shopping for one. I'm considering the one from you sent me info on and also the F-117 that my doctor uses. They have a lower priced one that isn't advertised on their website that I'm considering.

I'll read up on rocky mt fever. I've had this before so it's a repeat or resurgence. Last time I had open sores for three years before they cleared and I never did figure out what they were. Now they're back.

Are the sores all over your body? If so, I would immediately think rocky mountain spotted fever. It is a lyme co-infection that I had and was covered head to toe in little blister like sores for a month or so until I covered myself in antibacterial essential oils daily (before I knew I had lyme and rmsf). Do you have a coil/rife? I have a frequency for rmsf.Athena> > Hi Dana,> I have the same itchy rash! I have not met anyone else that describes this like you do. Hi Barb,

I had thought of liver toxicity a few times when this happened. It would

suddenly itch anywhere. I don't think one spot on my body hasn't had it at one

time or another. The odd thing about it is IF I could resist scratching the rash

would not appear. It took scratching to do that. I learned to go apply the

hydrogen peroxide at the first sign of itching and that would stop it, with no

rash. Since I've been taking the D Lenolate the itching is reduced dramatically.

It's now rare to have it happen, it's much less intense and over a much smaller

area.

Thanks!

itching starts. It doesn't welt at all if I don't scratch it. It can begin

spontaneously or if I accidentally rub the area. Toweling off after a shower can

bring it on as can sitting or laying. Whatever area is in touch with a surface

and gets rubbed can itch. It rarely happens now but was bad up to a year or so

ago.

You might be irritating the skin by scratching, so that the skin is irritated

both internally and externally. Well, what I had was toxic rash bec slowing

down on kill agents and taking bile sequesterants is what works. Perhaps your

rash is from something else. There are so many causes but it certainly sounded

like mine.

Here's something from Merck manual on itchy skin and rashes in general and

mentions liver problems as one cause and some suggestions:

Also I've heard that Cabots book on taking care of your liver is one of

the best for those of us that have toxins from antibiotics or lyme or mold. I

want to pick it up:
