Guest guest
Where would I look or who would I contact if I were interested in reviewing charts? Would the state medical society be a good place to start? Insurance providers??
Guest guest
here in Florida one of the hospitals asked me if I could review some charts from Nurse practitioners working in a hospital employee clinic. check with your local hospital or city if they have some clinics like that. adolfo To: Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2011 11:21 AMSubject: Where to find chart reviewing gig for extra money? Guest guest
Steve does chart review for EHR. He makes good money, but will quit as soon as we are financially able because it is Corporate with a capital C and it is not exactly rewarding for him. They are always hiring; we think due to turnover. He had to do 2 weeks training in their office (in Pleasanton, CA - but they also have an office in PA), but since then has worked from home. You need CABLE internet - most DSL doesn't cut it - and they provide everything else. http://www.ehrdocs.com/ Where would I look or who would I contact if I were interested in reviewing charts? Guest guest
And check your state medical society. Mich State Med Society has a peer review organization that I'm thinking of signing up for. It's $70/hr for chart review and you set your rate for more complex stuff. The other option for extra income is urgent care (which I'm doing right now) which generally is $70-$100/hr depending on the acuity, patient load, and whether you are supervising NPs/PAs. Of course, geographic variation applies. Craig > > > ** > > > > > > Where would I look or who would I contact if I were interested in reviewing > > charts?
