, I don't know what calm and calmer is other than natural calm. (magnesium) I think what LeeAnn was trying to say is that the Miralax depletes MANY things from the body, not just water and salt as after studying the FDA adverse reactions it states that they had deficiencies in the following, AND it's written in the literature that it depletes these. magnesium (FDA sheets show hypomagnesia) potassium (hyoplakia, i believe?) sodium elyectrolytes (hyponatremia / goes hand n hand with sodium) calcium (hyopcalcemia) My dd still to this day has nausea which I think is related to the metabolic acidosis that this medication is being

investigated by the FDA.............It's been 10 years and she was only on it for 10 days.............I e-mailed LeeAnn off group in hopes she would chime in here with any info pertaining to the reason for the tics, and stimming issues caused by this medication. I believe that what she is saying is that a magnesium deficiency would bring on these tics and replenishing would correct. We've always wondered if it's still in their system and could still be pulling and depleting somehow as many complain of holes in their teeth and broken bones (calcium deficency) tics (magnesium) high calcium in urine (calcium excreting) oxalate crystals, (PEG binding to calcium creating calcium oxalate crystals ) many years later. Until the medical professions come to terms with what this medication

has done, will we ever get an help for our children. One needs to study the FDA adverse reactions, guide the Physican and hopefully one will try to address the issues and look beyond what they thought, was a correct protocol. Jeanie

what is calm and calmer? and homepathic calms forte? are these the pellets by boiron?

FYI~

Also i don't know if i mentioned but my oldest son had a lot of nausea so the doctor told us to try homeopathic Nux Vomica by Boiron. This homeopathic also works for constipation too in case anyone is struggling to find something to make your child have a BM. My oldest is laxative dependent at this point so we are trying to heal his gut to get it working on it's own again eventually (i pray he will within a year, fingers and toes crossed). So far nux vomica is working! He has been on it for 2 weeks and has not complained of nausea. He is able to eat breakfast and has been pooping daily and sometimes 2 or 3 times a day (today he did 3 times). He is still taking milk of magnesium and I also use apple pectin fiber in their protein shake they have daily. So this has been working for him to have bm's daily so far. I hope it continues!

A couple of suggestions: (try one for 2 weeks, then pause for a week and try another)Calm and CalmerHomepathic Calms FotreMagnesium (citrate , malate or glycinate is probably best) - Kid Calm or Natural Calm if your child won't swallow pills. Epsom salt baths too.Calcium (citrate) Note - it will problably be magnesium OR calcium that is needed at first -- not both! Here's a mom's post that you might find interestinghttp://www.ctds. info/tics. htmlNote -- If you child is suffering from constipation and tics -- I would be willing to bet big $$ that your child is deficient in magnesium. >> Does anyone have any

theories about miralax and eye blinking? My 3 > year old has been blinking his eyes in an exagerated way. He has done > this for the last year and it has been noted as a possible sensory tic > by his neurologist. I have noticed that the blinking has gotten worse > now that it is winter and very dry in northern wisconsin. I have heard > that the oxalates are deposited in the eyes first. Does this make any > sense. He also rubs his eyes?>
