Guest guest
Ft. Ky/sville TN.(2X's) Hi , In early September 1964 my first husband and I moved to Ft KY. We lived off base in a mobile home, everything inside was pink (kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures). We chose that home because it was fancier instead of one with a washer and drier - dumb). Things I remember - The fall was beautiful and my husband threw a mouse into the leaves he was burning; When it snowed they only plowed one lane and the cars would skid sideways and get stick and the road would be blocked (had a couple of the guys spend the night because of it); did our shopping in sville and our utilities came from it's twin city in Ky (can't remember the name); met a couple that stayed friend for a lot of years who let me stay with them when my husband was out in the field and my landlord cleaned the furnace and blew shoot all over the trailer; had to ride all night with my husband around the base while he shoveled coal into the furnaces because our power had gone off in our trailer; couldn't take our car on the base because it wouldn't pass inspection; we were so poor (made $200 a month) that I washed clothes in the bathtub; had a lot of fights over my cooking - I was good at housecleaning but didn't know how to cook (now I can cook but don't - I've never enjoyed doing it); this took place over 5 months when we decided I should go stay at home for the other two months until my husband got discharged to save money. Biggest disappointment - never went to Nashville even though we were just 50 miles away - wasn't into country music then and have never gotten to go since. What an experience. Best thing was my husband was discharged before the Vietnam war. Peg

Guest guest
does anyone have any info about a good pain doc in the Buffalo, ny area? I used to have a great one, but he got out of it. NY has horrid laws that punish me. I also wondered if I went up to Rochester an hour and 1/2 away if they would raise eyebrows for pain meds. I currently take duragesic 100mcgs and loritab10/500 and am still in tons of pain. I have broken back failed fusion due to car accident and a horrid surgeon. MY primary doc is great, BUT her office staff is horrid. SHe is not a partner so she has no say how they treat her. She is very good, but... Anyway, thanks.
