update ipod/smart phone/camera

Thank you all for about a month ago lots of thoughts and experiences about smart phones ipods i phones camera etcWhat I  did was that  I bought a n ipod touch and I got my camera repaired This has been absolutely the right decision for  what I  needed the tools for

I keep my  cheapo tracfone that costs maybe 20/mo for calls takes photos  but cannot send and texts awkwardly( not an important function for me) the ipod touch is way cool I have made   a 2 1/2 min  video of my office space for Camp( too big to send by email darn)

 I do not have to   anymore take a photo with a camera ,download it to laptop, find it and attach to email .Ipod sned s it  Ahh. 2 seconds Done.I have used it only once for clinical  photo I agree  quality is not great not what the actual camera does so  cannot use it I think to document moles etc,but once I had a lesion I was unsure of I  took the picture, emailed it to the specialist who emailed me an answer back a bout seeing the kid or not

 That is what 21st C medicine should do  I signed up with the wonderful Ron '  agian who  gets us all the AAFP  talks for cheap Last year I listened to only a few becasue I had to  download then stick on CD and put them in car where they got  trampled or stepped on ...but now  well  the  pediatirc orthopedic talk on an ipod while I  weed the  strawberry bed is way cool

I us epocrates far more than I anticipated- I can access all the info on the laptop but  but Ikeep the ipod next the lap top and can touch it  much easier than  going elsewhere into programs on the laptop. I have minimally tested its'  a bility to connect me when I travel   but once had wireless someplace else and it worked 

I got the  app ReachMD radio for free ,esp for traveling   have not tried it yetThe camera went back to Olympus duh why didn't I think of that, and it cost 150 to buy it new 3 yrs ago and 64 .00 to fix Cannot buy new for that I am pleased.

 I would have gotten a smart phone if any vendor would sell me a plan that made sense but hey are capitalists and  80/mo for  the $12/mo or so I use it   was silly You guys were a great resourcesto make the decision
