Guest guest
Dear All The visit to Oxford was quite informative, but alas too short for the questions posted by the group to be answered. But Dr Chapman told the group present that a four day conference is taking place in Atlanta in September and the doctors present will be discussing the latest findings. A paper will be published on the latest updates from the Usa and European studies. Dr Chapman also talked about new blood tests that indicate how much scarring is present. Also that MRCP's will be more common because the MRCP pictures are almost identical to ERCP without the invasive procedure. He plans to do a study on Urso dosages which he hopes to be a dual trial with Uk and Europe,he talked briefly about reasearch of the stromelysin gene polymorphism and a possible link to PSC. I have not met any fellow PSCers before it felt good to be not so alone! On the mildew subject and the heat,It is wet and much cooler here in the Uk about 64 degrees. And with northerly breezes and showers for tomorrow, its been like this for weeks.I think I will have webbed feet soon,so I think mildew won't be my problem just waterlogged wrinkles.
