Guest guest
Today, I had to go to rehab as part of my recovery. I wasn't pleased with the initial idea but, went anyway and, upon arrival saw that it was nothing but, treadmills and stairsteppers AND, which was not in the letter I recieved, considered OPTIONAL! I kinda hit the roof, in a nice way ... I KNOW what it would have done to me today and, didn't need, as I felt, my Medicare going to something I could do on my own (I do have a Total Gym). I told the " operator " not to inform my dr. and not to even consider me coming back. Perhaps I was wrong but, I felt it would just exhaust me for no real purpose. Opinion? Guest guest
Phred, I also agree with Joyce...plus they teach you breathing techniques (smell the rose/blow out the candle and others) that will help you regain your O2 level, and ways to reduce panic and stress when SOB. Guest guest
Hey "Sweetums", Opinion? Turn yourself around and go right back to re-hab. You do not have any way to gage the stress levels to your heart and lungs as you use your Total Gym. To excersize on your own at this point is dangerous. Not to excersize is also dangerous. How does your wife put up with you???? She must be an angel! Hugs, Joyce PF 1997 >> Today, I had to go to rehab as part of my recovery. Guest guest
.. . .yes I have an Opinion! You need to stick with rehab eventhough it seems slow and boring ( only treadmills and stair steppers)and you are positive they don't know what they are doing. As a former regular exerciser I was positive I could come up with my OWN rehab program and the result was disastrous. They really do have things to teach you, they really have helped lots of other people, they really do have your best interests at heart and are not trying to make you go crazy, they really aren't part of a large conspiracy against you and you just need to go with an open mind or Peggy will send you back to the corner! . . . totally different subject. I have been thinking of starting a scholarship fund for children with parents of PF and would like to start with your daughter. I thought if all of us donated a few dollars it might add up to enough to get her a good start towards her first year. Plus we have 4 years before she leaves to college, so hopefully it would acrue lots of interest Maybe after your daughter we could focus on 's kids who will then be getting closer to high school age. Would that be okay with you? If you give the go ahead I will do the research and see how to go about setting it up. phredta11bl@... wrote: Today, I had to go to rehab as part of my recovery. Guest guest
, I just ckd the phonebook ... no Citibanks here BUT, why not set it up with your friend at THAT branch and, as my daughter has an account at a local 5/3 Bank (which she can't use until she's 18 ... we sued a monkey owner last year when the damn thing bit her twice and THEY RAN away! As everyone knew whose monkey it was, she's a KOOK, it was a slam-dunk). You can then keep the account there at your friend's bank and, transfer funds in a bank-to-bank transfer to those you help. Idea? If I didn't say it before, I want to thank you for your kindness and generosity and time in doing this.
