Reverend Jim posted a followup asking to remain on the list, but to switch

to No Mail / Web Only.

He reports that he is doing better, which I think is wonderful. I think

about him every day, and I know the rest of you join in wishing him years of

health and happiness. Reverend Jim is our Hero, and we need him around to do

the Lord's work!

Rev Jim switched to web only at my suggestion. He wanted to stop the email.

I think he wanted to unsubscribe but it didn't work.

I keep in touch with Reverend Jim every so often by private e-mail. I was

thrilled to hear that he is actually doing better than before. It is just

that he is so busy with his missionary work that he is having to back away

from most online stuff. If any of you wish to visit his web site (which he

suggests), it is http://hometown.aol.com/revjsutter/myhomepage/index.html

For those new to this group, Reverend Jim is a genuine American hero ... a

U.S. Navy Seal who lost his own health doing underwater demolition and

recovery of weapons years ago. Today he suffers from numerous severe health

problems. But despite that, he still ministers in the Cleveland area. He

also has a wonderful sense of humor!

This is a guy who majored in Theoretical Quantum Physics, then got an M.A.

in Theology (all the while minoring in Psychology), then Doctorates of

Divinity and Biblical Studies. He then received a Ph.D. in Traumatic

Counseling and Psychology!

I hope Reverend Jim won't mind me copying a portion of the text on his web

page, but I feel you would like to see the following:

***********************

" Okay, ready to believe in miracles? Try this one: In 1991, I began feeling

ill, and over the course of the next 8 years, I have been diagnosed and

treated for FIVE heart attacks, fractured both legs, crushed chest wall,

ruptured spleen, perforated intestine, sepsis, gangrene (three times),

epilepsy, Parkinson's Disease, Cushing's Disease, cancer - sinuses, throat,

and brain, morbid obesity, shattered knee, pulmonary hypertension, asthma,

COPD, congestive heart failure, paroxysmal tachycardia, coronary

athersclerosis, encephalopathy, sleep apnea, spinal cord puncture, diabetes,

chronic airway obstruction, chronic pain, arthritis, chronic hypoxia; and

during this same time period, I have undergone 31 surgeries. I am legally

blind in both eyes. I have an 88% hearing loss.

THE MIRACLE? Show me one person who has had this many health problems and is

still alive, let alone working full time and then some. The ONLY reason I am

alive and here and still working in ministry today is that God decides when

we die, God watches over us, and helps us through illnesses. All of the

ministry I've described above - I do this all from my wheelchair. I lost the

ability to walk more than 10 years ago. But yet I travel - we are never

alone as we travel through life, and in times of need, God will walk with

us, supporting us, carrying us when we are too weak to keep moving under our

own power. All we need to do is have faith that God will help us, and

understand that He loves us, no matter what we do, or how we worship Him. We

just have to reach out and take the hand extended in love.

If you have questions or wish further information, I can be contacted

through email; or at P.O. Box 609114, Cleveland, OH, USA 44109; or you can

leave a message for me (toll free) at ext 096, 24 hours a

day. "
