Guest guest
Hi ,I use GoDaddy's WebSite Tonite program for doing our website. They seem to constantly be adding new features to their options. I used a Pre-set template. I think it's under $10/mo which includes the hosting. www.prattmd.infoWe also but our domain names from them, which includes email accounts. All of my email gets forwarded to my gmail account, but it is nice to have one tied to the domain. Guest guest
definitely agree that wordpress is very customizable. i don't have any practice websites but wanted to show you just how customizeable wordpress can be. here's my site created on wordpress, http://scrubd.in a domain on godaddy costs 9 bucks. hosting there can cost 3 dollars per month if you buy in bulk and with a coupon.you could also get a template customized for tumblr or blogger and have them host it for free. i don't know much about SquareSpace, but they're designs look very nice, http://medfusionconf.org/ and http://freelancemd.com ~ thuchttp://thuchuynh.com - hosted by tumblrhttp://healthcrunch.co - hosted by blogger http://mdsalaries.net - hosted by bloggerhttp://scrubd.in - hosted by godaddy, operated on wordpress platformhttp://blog.scrubd.in - hosted by godaddy, operated on blogger platform
Guest guest
Yahoo provides an integrated web site building tools and email management tools as part of “Yahoo Small Businessâ€Â The service side of their product is wonderful. The downside is Yahoo email servers tend to be a bit to popular with spammers and hence their email servers also get blacklisted by other email servers around the country a bit more than the smaller hosting services. When Yahoo gets blacklisted it usually clears up within a short time (hours), the spammer gets run off and all is well again. This usually results in a false bounced email from time to time as other hosting services and ISPs throw up their defenses against a suspect Yahoo email server. Most hosting services have this problem from time to time. Most of my website (except for news items) was put together over a weekend about 18 months ago. Cost is about $10 per month. Yahoo makes it pretty easy. Guest guest
www.jessicadavismd.comI did hire a graphic designer/web person to do the graphics and redesign this time. I think next time I'm going to go with wordpress. There are lots of people on Elance, etc...who can whip up a wordpress site for cheap. -jess Would people mind sending links to their websites ( if you would like to share what your website looks like). Guest guest
,I just changed my website (drgaryseto.com). I previously had it through RelayHealth which provided a website template, secure messaging, e-prescribing, Web Visits. But I decided to switch after having problems not being able to edit the website and not getting any response from the support staff at RelayHealth. I originally was going to set up a temporary site through the free website, Weebly.com, and switch to a "real" website later like WordPress or through a professional web designer. But now that I've set it up, I think I may just keep this website as it has all of the features that I wanted: online appointment scheduling (AppointmentQuest), secure messaging (ScramblerMail - thanks for the tip, H.!), online payment (thanks, Carla!) and registration forms. It was a excellent way for me to prepare for the talk I am giving (with Carla Gibson) at the upcoming IMP Camp on "How to Set Up Your Own Website". For anyone planning to attend, I will help you set up your own free practice website. Guest guest
Thanks, Sangeetha. The link you gave is for jumbleme.com, which is a similar service to ScramblerMail. I decided to go with ScramblerMail instead of JumbleMe because you are required to set up an account with ScramblerMail in order to use it. JumbleMe allows you to send encrypted messages to anyone, even if they don't have an account with JumbleMe. While this may seem more convenient, I didn't like having too many choices with which to confuse patients. Plus I thought ScramblerMail's website looked "cleaner" than JumbleMe's, but that's just my personal preference. I'm sure both services work just fine.
