Guest guest
Hi , My hip is in hell too. The right one. Heating pads and the whole bit. I was in an boat accident 15 yrs.ago and landed on my right cheek of my rump and have hurt ever since. So lady, I know your pain. My dr. says the weather has much to do with all our pain. The tissue swells and puts pressure on the nerves and that is what puts us in hell. Do stairs have much to do with your pain? I have trouble doing stairs. The Dr. says there is nothing wrong with the bones, it's bursitis. Whatever it is it hurts sooooo much. I do understand. Take care, donna

Guest guest
Thanks for your support, . The heat helped and the pain is about 50% better. I'm going to try to rest it today so 'maybe' I can go to a movie this weekend. I'm getting cabin fever. wrote: > Hi , > It's a plan! You go girl!!! Mine isn't bursitis, it's that there is very little cartilage left in many of my joints so, the bones grind together when I move. You can hear it. Snap, crackle pop. My kids used to say I had Rice Krispies in my knees. I am way beyond stairs now. I am confined to a wheelchair. But, I do remember when I was still hobbling around with my cane about 12 years ago how long a flight of stairs looked standing at the bottom. Guest guest
I know how bad you both are feeling! With my back, I have pain that runs from my back into my hips and down both legs. It is really horrible. I can no longer do steps, if there isn't a ramp, I change my plans and don't go into that place. I'm glad heating pads seem to be helping, they do a little bit for me. Does muscle relaxers help you at all ? I take them but I'm not really sure if they really help or not. I started on Lyrica last week and that seems to be helping a little bit too, I think I am ready for an increase in dosage, but I don't know if my doctor is ready to increase it because of my kidneys. I really hope you both get some relief soon. Big huggs, Sandy Moderator

If I don't it's pure hell. I hope your Doctor can find a med that will help with your pain. when do you see her/him next?
Guest guest
Hi I check in with my doctor about once or twice a month and actually see her about once every two months, or sooner. I am supposed to check in next week concerning my Lyrica. And I have to go in and see her in two months for my yearly visit. My doctor is a DO, and I see her for everything!! I am a leftover work comp case, and waiting to hear from Social Security for my disability. So I see her for all my pain issues. She has been a real gem for me when it comes to my pain. I saw a Pain Management doc and he was an ass. So I went to my doc and she has been there for me. Hope you have a pain free night. Guest guest
, I can totally understand where you are coming from! I have had an increase in pain the past few days, and I think it's due to the crazy up and down weather here too. We had a snowstorm on Wed., bad enough to close all of the schools in the county, and then yesterday and today it was warm enough to melt it all! I think I heard on the radio that it's supposed to snow again tomorrow. My body can't handle all of these quick and drastic changes and has just gone haywire. My lower back isn't too bad thanks to recent nerve block injections, but my shoulders and neck are HORRIBLE! I'm just soooo glad it's Friday, and I don't have to work again til Monday! Guest guest
HI Sandy, I can see from your email your back is no better than mine. You wonder sometimes. Mine is only on the right side where I hurt myself. Of course the back is still a constant source of unpleasantness. Muscle relaxers help. I take Soma especially in the afternoon. Have trouble walking also when the pain kicks up real bad. Can't get off a chair real easy. Oxycodone really helps and I think I am ready for an increase also but the Dr. thinks differently. I don't really understand. He always keeps telling me I will get older and need more. Hell, I am almost 63 now. How much longer does the bugger think I am going to live? Well anyway, try and have a good day and take care. donna
Guest guest
Hi Donna, It is pretty horible with this kind of back pain, it is the most horrible thing I have ever felt. It seems like it goes right thru you. I am really thankful that my doctor is able to give me the Oxycontin, and it works for me. I am really sorry that your doctor is having such a problem with increasing it for you, shit, doesn't he realize that your body gets used to it and in order to have adequete relief you have to occasionally have it increased?? I don't know what age has to do with it, shouldn't it be the pain and not the age?? Well, I sure hope that the Soma helps, and the dosage of Oxy he has you on. Keep in touch.
