Guest guest
Along with the swallowing issues, left arm weakness and stiff/sore neck, I am having itchy skin all over, i will itch it and it will puff up where ever i have scratched it, it started on calves and now has made its way all over, maybe i need to do a detox? If so, any suggestions on detox, i don't sweat very much so I am curious what others might do?
Guest guest
I am finding that part of the lyme herx is an occasional skin reaction like you describe but only around the sides of my mouth. There are many discussions on this forum about detox as it is crucial, and yes, it sounds like you need to do more. Guest guest
This sounds like inflammation, like something is triggering mast cells which would make the puffed-up scratched places.I have Lyme-caused psoriasis, and Jim had discovered in his search for a migraine aid that Feverfew helped this sort of inflammation. You might want to google feverfew and read about how it works. It's an herb that can be taken in capsule form, and I also apply the tincture to the skin. I have no idea whether this will help what's ailing you but it's worth looking into.As far as I'm concerned, detox is ALWAYS a good idea. My mainstay is low-volume coffee enemas. Childhood trauma made the large, bag-hose-clip kind impossible for me to do with any regularity, but the 8oz Fleet enema bulb has made this procedure an easy routine that's dramatically helped my recovery. When you clean your house, you have to take out the trash. Killing critters isn't enough. Their dead will burden your liver, GB, (and skin, which is your third kidney) with toxins that will cause pain, inflammation and longer-lasting herxes. The shorter the herxes, the more you can resume steady killing.Drinking a lot of good water is also essential. Deeper breathing is important. Taking French green clay or bentonite will bind toxins, and if you take chlorella about an hour before a coffee enema, it will bind heavy metals and even radiation before it can be recirculated after the liver has been stimulated to dump themBed well,LénaAlong with the swallowing issues, left arm weakness and stiff/sore neck, I am having itchy skin all over, i will itch it and it will puff up where ever i have scratched it, it started on calves and now has made its way all over, maybe i need to do a detox? Guest guest
Here are a few basic detoxing methods you should do daily... Detox basics: Those with chronic illnesses should drink 1/2 (or more) their body weight in filtered or distilled water daily... This is one of the best detox methods... Bm's - you should strive to have 2 - 3 bm's daily.... This is so important, but don't take laxatives to accomplish this... Instead, take extra Vitamin C or magnesium to bowel tolerance... It takes some practice, but is doable. Deep breathing... Many toxins are expelled with deep breathing... (http://www.the-natural-path.com/deep-breathing-exercise.html) Sweating - Do some exercises daily and or use a FIR sauna or Bio Mat that cause you to sweat... Exercising outside in the sun is even better as you will sweat easier and you will capture some much needed Vitamin D. Glucomannan - this is a toxin binder, take one capsule 1 hr before meals or 2 hrs after meals, 3 x daily... After a week or so, scale up to 2 capsule each time and be sure to take with 8 oz (or more) of water.. There are many other detox methods, the above list is a good starter... Take care, Jim > > Along with the swallowing issues, left arm weakness and stiff/sore neck, I am having itchy skin all over, i will itch it and it will puff up where ever i have scratched it, it started on calves and now has made its way all over, maybe i need to do a detox? Guest guest
I have had skin issues like that during many Lyme treatments. My naturopath identified several fungal infections in my body apart from candida. Treating these infections is making a huge difference in my recovery.Aandraya Along with the swallowing issues, left arm weakness and stiff/sore neck, I am having itchy skin all over, i will itch it and it will puff up where ever i have scratched it, it started on calves and now has made its way all over, maybe i need to do a detox? Guest guest
Hi Aandraya, In homeopathy, many eczema remedies also treat fungus. I noticed that as I work on the fungal infections, the itchy and dry skin has improved. What specifically did your naturopath use to treat the fungus other then Candida. Did they use herbs such as Olive Leaf extract, Oregano Oil or Pau De Arco or did they use a pharmaceutical antifungals? I don't know, but I suspect I have more then just Candida as well. Dr. Klinghardt muscle tested me and told me that fungus was my biggest infection. He said that wireless signals cause Fungus to think that it is under attack and it grows more rapidly as a survival strategy. I live in a house that has at least 14 wireless signals in it from neighbors, so if what he says is true, everyone in this country ought to have Candida between the computers, cell phones, the high fructose corn syrup, sugar and use of birth control pills and steroids. I even read that progesterone and Estrogen can feed Candida. My MD put me on some bioidentical progesterone and estrogen and now I am wondering if they contributed to my current fungal flare up, which was mostly brought on by a homeopathic version of Clarithromycin for several months to assist in eradicating Mycoplasma. The problem is, fungus can really bring the immune system down and make us more susceptible to Lyme infections. I think fungus is a coinfection of Lyme, because I don't know many who have Lyme that don't also have some form of fungal infection. > > > Along with the swallowing issues, left arm weakness and stiff/sore > > neck, I am having itchy skin all over, i will itch it and it will > > puff up where ever i have scratched it, it started on calves and > > now has made its way all over, maybe i need to do a detox?
