Oh don't I know since my son is sensitive to additives, preservatives & food

colors I have a hard time finding supplements and the ones he can take are not

cheap. I hear great things about Kirkmans but so many of there supplements

contain the Magnesium Stearate so I haven't tried theres yet. Atleast Houston

Enzymes give out samples so you can try them first. I have to return so many

things due to reactions that I don't like to order online unless I am sure.

Anyways the Zinc is from Eidon Minerals have you ever heard of them? Oh and as

I said the Zinc did make my son hyper but a feeling good hyper and once I

lowered the dose it did get better. Then I was listening to one of those Great

Planes Lab. Webinars done by a Dr. K. Stoller and asked him about this and

he said I should stop giving it. So I started wondering again. Here to it

seems to help if I alternate these things so too much does not build up.

Call them and tell them that he reacts this way, they have a Pharmacy, maybe they'll send you a trial size or you could ask about the reaction to see if stearate causes this kind of reaction. They are pretty helpful. I'm wondering how many other things have stearate in them so you could rule that out.

They do have trial sizes but you have to pay for them plus shipping and

handling.

Not sure what you meant by " how may other things have stearate in them " .

What it seems to me with the Mag. Stearate is that alot of these magnesium can

come from different places, like beef and chocolate are natural sources from

what I have read. Anyways most of what I have found is that if they do not get

it from the vegetable source then he reacts to it. But I am still unsure of

trying more than one supplement that he will take regularly with even the

vegetable magnesium stearate in it since he seems to build things up quickly

and he takes the Melatonin daily and does do well on it. Does that make sense.

LOL. I have tried so many supplements that I am very careful now.

I was meaning if there was mag stearate in other things he eats in his diet, then you would know its not the stearate. I never realized that they get magnesium from different sources. I'm learining a lot on the low oxalate board about how people / kids react so strangely to foods. My dd used to react big time to corn. Especially on Wednesday's after nachos. We did a naet treatment and believe it or not, it helped? She doesn't react to corn like she used to and it was only one treatment.

One has to do extensive research when they have a child that reacts to "where" the magnesium came from. Sorry for your situation. Sorry, I couldn't be of much help

First, what is naet treatment? My son seems also reacts to corn more so the

processed corn like chips etc than just corn. But of course he loves it too.

He will crave some of the things he reacts to. Plus corn is in sooo many

things. I found even a prescription nasal spray to have a form of it in it.

They overuse these things as we have discussed on this board before.

http://www.naet.com/ Only Chiro's trained in NAET can do this. They infuse a vial of water with "What" you are sensitive to, they put a few drops of this water under your tounge and tape a vial to your leg............sounds hokey but believe me, it works. She no longer turns into the tazmanian devil after corn. LOL! I will tell you that the behavior that came after this treatment made me rip the vial off her leg before I was suppose to, she definitely reacted. But it did improve,,,,I just got scared after what I was witnessing and took it off.

First, what is naet treatment? My son seems also reacts to corn more so the processed corn like chips etc than just corn. But of course he loves it too. He will crave some of the things he reacts to. Plus corn is in sooo many things. I found even a prescription nasal spray to have a form of it in it. They overuse these things as we have discussed on this board before. > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > Give your doc these..............................2 attachments and > > > >one > > >> > > >link >

Actually chiros *and* acupuncturists trained in NAET can do it. Just a minor clarification. Acupuncturists, depending on their training, are very good at treating allergies and auto-immune conditions. Not every one, of course. Just my two cents as an Acu. In CA, acupuncturists are primary health care providers, so our scope of practice is much broader. In other states, it is more limited. So it depends on who you see, and where they live.Oh and I don't do NAET. So I'm not chiming in to get a referral or anything. I treat allergies in other ways. But just wanted to let folks know there are more people out there, and you can certainly look on the website for

folks in your area.Best wishesMeadowTo: miralax Sent: Tuesday, August 30, 2011 6:13 PMSubject: Re: Re: Do all GI Drs. do the same?

There is a more evolved method of NAET treatments called Bax Aura. It detects and can treat many more things (apx 65,000) I believe; and it uses laser rather than pressure or needles. Just something else to look at. Still done by a chiropractor.

Thanks Renae, have you tried this? What did you find out?

Not yet, but I am planning to use it for my son. I have done NAET in the past and didn’t see improvement in me or my other son who tried it. it was pricey too. But that was about 10 yrs ago when naet was a newer idea. This Bax Aura is something that I ran by my uncle who is an acupuncturist and he encouraged us to give it a try. You should google Bax Aura for more info if you’re interested.
