Guest guest
Hyaluronic acid injections is pretty much the same as synsvic only by a different drug company. The shots did nothing for my pain - I had one shot each week for five weeks. Sandy Gwen wrote: Welcome to our group! By saying you had acid injections do you mean the synsvic shots? Guest guest
Hi Sandy, Welcome to the group, I'm sure you will find all the info you need here. There are so many awesome people here, and they are so caring too. I just wanted to comment on the fact that you said you cannot take anything but Tylenol for your pain. Talk to your doctor about liquid vicodin. My sister had bypass done also and she has scoliosis, which causes her a lot of pain, and they had given her a liquid vicodin. She said it helped her tremendously until she was able to handle swallowing the pills. I just thought it was worth a try for you. It couldn't hurt to ask about it. Again, welcome to the group, and I hope to get to know you better. Guest guest
From what I have been told that is pretty common. I know on me as well as the few I have talked to in the doc's office it is usually the second set that begins to help. One other key is you must immediately walk when you leave the doc's office. Like in a Walmart store. The walking gets the stuff to work better in the place you need it. I am not very technical, sorry. One other thing that has helped me tremendously is rubbing Vick's vaporub into the knee area or for that matter any part of the body that hurts, and apply hot moist heat. It will feel good almost immediately. You cannot use an off brand. I became allergic to the synsvic shots so I take the other brand, but I must say the synsvic shots were the better ones. Guest guest
Sandy, I also had gastric bypass in June 02 lost 178lbs before I started having problems with Osteoarthritis and Constant Hernias. I will be having a 3rd hernia repair with a abdominalplasty and excess skin removal off my arms. I take Vicodan only when extremely necessary. My arthritis specialist gives me steroid shots in my knees about every 3 months. I was 38 when diagnosed and now am 40 years old and way to young. I do have some cartilage in both knees but not much. I still have 100lbs too loose but with the hernia surgery and abdominalplasty and loose skin on the arms removed I will loose about 20lbs total. I can't wait. e-mail me anytime to talk.
