Hello everyone

My husband, nor I can shovel snow, or mow the lawn. We now use the services

from our local Sheltered Workshop. It's $10 each time they shovel our

sidewalk, and salt it. They also provide janitorial work, lawn work, snow

removal, dog walking, and various other services.

The Sheltered Workshops provide employment for those who have developmental

disabilities. They are more than willing to work, but need guidance. These

folks need guidance and protection from people who would take advantage of

them.

To find out the services that are availble in your state or communtiy go to

www.google.com and type in the name of your city and state. You will have

excellent assistance, and provide employment

for those who desperately need to work and want to work. There are few

things better to give someone dignity than earning a paycheck.

I don't know what these groups are called in other countries. No doubt, for

those who don't live in the US, there is something like it. Just check

Google.

glad to know that, there's a lot I can't or shouldn't do and I've not

had a good resource for help. I'd feel great about paying someone from

a sheltered workshop to do the chores.
