Guest guest
I have just passed my third anniversary on " the list " and I am happy to say that I still have my original parts! Three years ago I was in grave condition and it was thought that I would have to be transplanted before August. My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at the end of June, 1997 with me in a wheelchair on the patio, too weak to sit up for dinner. Granted, I have had some very rough going along the way, but my liver is working quite well and my doctors have no predictions about when a transplant will occur. It is said to be " many years away " . My doctors have become a formidable team and, together, we have managed to stabilize me and improve my liver function. Miracles do happen as we all know. That said, I am still grateful for being on the list because it gives me a choice if things go wrong. Dream as if you'll live forever; live as if you'll die today.
